I'm soooo hungry! Feed me!

I've learned very quickly that if I start rattling my food bag, somebody will feed me! This works on both of my clueless peeps...! If my food bowl is empty, I think it should be full... lately, though, mommy and daddy have been checking when I've been fed.. Daddy said something about me becoming a fat kitty because I like to eat.. Mommy keeps saying that my big sis Karat was never like that... Can I be held responsible if Karat didn't like in between meal snacks? Believe me, when I see Cassidy getting anything in her "special" bowl, I know and conveniently stick mommy's leg with one of my extra sharp claws so that she knows that I want something too! Last night mommy made hamburgers, and Cassidy got a special one (of course!)... Mommy said that she was going to give me a bite to see if I'd eat it! Well, I showed her! I ate my piece of hamburger with cheese... NO PROBLEM! Of course, I amazed mommy with my unusual appetite... Mommy has come to realize that I am one special kitty!

Battle Between Good and Evil!

Why do we cute pets have to suffer at the hands of clueless peeps? Mommy got the idea that it would be really cute (a real AWWWWW shucks moment!) to get me a collar that matched Cassidy's! Boy, I showed her I was not taking that abusive treatment! Mommy put on my new red collar, and she and Daddy went on and on about how cute I was.. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Well, I was having no part of that scene! I scrambled around, and when no one was looking I got that yucky collar unbuckled! Ah-ha! Uh-oh, mommy saw me "naked" and the collar laying on the floor... Here she comes again! NO.. NO.. I'm not wearing that thing! She thought maybe it was a little too loose... Why are my super powers just not recognized by the clueless ones?? I humor her and let her put it on, but I'll show her! I immediately start doing flip-flops and various dives on the floor to unbuckle that red shackle! It takes a little longer this time, but eventually I have it unbuckled AGAIN! Mommy is amazed this time by my kitty super powers (Finally!).... She is amazed that I can unbuckle it at all! Anyway, I won the battle between good and the "evil" red collar... Mommy gave up the fight, and I didn't have to perform anymore death defying battles with that evil beast... Cassidy wanted it, as she loves collars! Yes, it's true... it's unbelievable how totally dim-witted the canine crowd can be... Mommy told her it was too small for her, and put it away..... Queen Chloe wins again! And for those of you who are wondering... Yes, Cassidy is wearing a pink collar in her Dogster pictures, but like I said before, she really likes collars and has more than one! I, on the other hand, want NONE!

I've been a very naughty little girl...!

I like plants...! Mommy recently brought her inside plants that were outside for the summer in for the winter... I can't resist climbing up and attacking them! Heck, they have those "viney arms" hanging down that seem to move constantly! What normal kitty wouldn't want to rip those apart?? I usually just jump onto the plant stand to rip off some leaves... and yes, I chew them! I've gotten in trouble a couple of times, but that doesn't stop me! Mommy is NO fun! She shuts the biggest plant in the bedroom when she leaves for work! Ah-hah!! I see a plant "viney arm" hanging down from the top of the refrigerator! I think if I jump just right, I'll be able to rip it to shreds.... Okay, here I go..... JUMP!! Yes, I got it! What's that?? A big container of brown stuff coming down with it! Wow, this stuff is messy... it's going everywhere! Uh-oh, I hear mommy coming down the hall... Who's in trouble?? Maybe I shouldn't have done that! Mommy looks mad... Uh-oh, there goes Cassidy running down the hall to her bed... Is Cassidy in trouble?? No, I think it's me that mommy is yelling at... What did I do? I just wanted to rip off the "viney arm"!! Mommy calls the brown stuff dirt... I go over to check it out, and mommy says I have some nerve trying to play with the container!! I don't mean to be bad, I guess it's just my "kitty" nature!

My new little game!

Boy, I really enjoyed my weekend! Of course, I played my usual games... shred the newspaper, knock stuff of mommy's dressing table, try to get Cassidy to chase me, get in the bathtub and walk around..., but I discovered something even more fun! RUNNING AND HIDING IN THE GARAGE!! Wow, this was a good one! I watch very closely, and when I see one of my peeps open that garage door, I run like a flash to get out the door... Daddy has some stuff out there, so it's easy to get lost! Saturday, I will have to admit, my mommy got a little mad at me.. She opened the door and I ran out, and she caught me.. but she made the BIG mistake of opening it again for something else... she didn't catch me this time... hahaha!!!! FREEDOM!
Okay, so she got mad and left me there for awhile.. she said something about teaching me a lesson, but I didn't care! I was out scavenging for at least 30 minutes! I could hear Cassidy sniffing at the garage door! Haha... she can't get in on this fun! Okay, mommy come and get me... I want in now!!! Where's mommy at..? Maybe I should try crying at the door to get in... yeah, that should get her... nobody can resist that one... Uh, wait a minute... I think I hear her coming.... YES, mommy opened the door!! I run in, and Cassidy starts her big sniff! Wow, what is that on my face and my whiskers??? I'll try to shake it off... uh, oh, it isn't working! All of a sudden mommy picks me up and says "how gross"!! (What is gross?? I've heard that one before!) I guess I found what mommy called a spider web with some bugs in it, and they were hanging from my whiskers too! Mommy had to give me a little bath after that one, but guess what?? I haven't learned my lesson, my peeps now have to watch me wherever they go!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!! :)

So many boxes, so little time!

I got laughed at a whole lot this week... The truth is my favorite toys lately are the occasional stray boxes and bags I find around the house... I love it when mommy and daddy do any shopping! Just sit that bag down, and there I go! Most of the time, mommy just gives them to me for awhile, or picks me up and carries me around in them for fun... but the other night, mommy decided to throw out an empty tissue box... You know, it looked like I would fit in there.. how did I know there is a little bit of flexible plastic stuff around the cardboard! Well, I scoped out the box and decided to stick my head in! But wait a minute... Oh, no, my head wouldn't come out!!! I heard a lot of laughing when I lifted my head up and the box came with me! There I sat with a box over my head... I didn't think it was so funny! Luckily daddy was there to pull me out!

Hi, this is Chloe again!

My mommy and daddy call me "bullet"! I've just discovered something I really like to do... Check out the closets! As soon as I hear a closet door open, I can be there so faster than the blink of an eye... If you're watching, I just look like a little black streak racing across the carpet! Yeah, I get into trouble, but it's just soooo interesting! When mommy and daddy gets dressed in the morning, I have my eyes and ears open! Of course, I'm not happy when I get shut in... the object is for me to be caught before the door shuts! There are plenty of times I've had to cry to get out! Luckily, mommy and daddy check for me before they leave for work and of course, I have to be at the door to get my treats anyway... Of course, there are other things that get me running too: When I hear the ice maker; when I hear food being poured into my bowl, when Cassidy is chasing me; when I hear any door open; and when I just want to act like a nut (or so mommy and daddy say anyway!).
Yesterday, I got into a little trouble when mommy came home and discovered I knocked off a vase full of water (with a plant in it of course) off of the kitchen counter! Yeah, mommy wasn't happy, but oh well!

Bee Update!

Well, the bees are gone! I have no more flying bee toys... I actually had to pass the time playing with my REAL toys yesterday... Mommy sure acted relieved, and so did Cassidy because she is very afraid of the swatter! Not me... I found it and started playing with that too! Sometimes, I just don't understand Cassidy...!

Lately, I like to sneak outside... especially at night! I sneak out when Cassidy comes in from the backyard, and a couple of nights ago, I thought it would be fun to try out the front yard...! Mommy opened the front door and I just scampered out behind the bushes.. Daddy had to chase me down... I'm a black kitty, you see, and I use that to my advantage! Personally, I don't see what the problem is.. Cassidy is allowed to go outside by herself, and I just want to do everything that Cassidy does! Hey, is there a problem with that?? Mommy says I have "big dog" syndrome! Cassidy is a big dog, and I think I am too...! OH WELL!

Chloe.... the Bee Hunter!

Boy, I have had a busy week! First of all, that dreaded surgery came along that most kitties need around the age of 6 months... but that hasn't stopped my endless energy! Mommy and daddy have had a nest of bees outside of the front door that has been driving them nuts.. Well, the "Bee" man came and sprayed some nasty stuff to get rid of them... He didn't get them all because they started coming in the house! Luckily, I am on the prowl! I pounce when I see them on the back door.. I pick them up and carry them through the house.. For some reason, I get yelled at by my mommy and daddy! They are afraid I will get stung since I'm so little... Mommy cannot understand why I haven't been stung carrying them in my mouth.. Obviously, those bees are no match for "Queen Chloe"! Mommy knows that when she sees me acting a little nutty by the back door, she is to bring over the swatter! Luckily, the "bee man" was called back out to respray, so we will see what happens next!
I also got in a little trouble over the weekend for stealing a piece of dental floss out of the bathroom trash can.. How was I supposed to know I wasn't supposed to swallow it?? Mommy was talking about taking me to the emergency vet! I didn't want to go there, so I let mommy pull it out a little at a time... I'm doing much better now....!

My nightly escapades!

Hi this is Chloe...
There is one thing that I've discovered that I really like to do... Creep around at night when everyone is asleep! Yep, even that puppy wimp Cassidy sleeps through the night! Last night, I was thrown out of the bedroom because I wanted to walk on mommy at 1 a.m.! Imagine that, she actually wanted to sleep... Mommy finds it a little strange that I never walk on daddy... I don't know why.. Maybe mommy is my favorite! If I can, I will burrow under the covers (like a ferret, she says) by her legs and she yelps at my kitty claws digging into the skin... I don't even know what that's about! Are they sharp? I know I definitely don't like to get them clipped... When mommy shuts the bedroom door on me, I really cry because I want back in... Heck, Cassidy is in there, why not me??????

My newly discovered kitty superpowers!

Okay, yeah I admit it.... I've been very difficult lately for my mommy.... but I can't help it! I never realized that I could jump as high as the kitchen counter... and I'm just so curious! Mommy came home yesterday to find two of her newly ripe tomatoes on the kitchen floor.... I admit one of them did explode on impact with the tile.... She wasn't too happy about it... Cassidy likes it though... Cassidy likes it that I can go where she can't... She watches me hoping I will knock off some stuff her way that she can get into or eat.... Mommy just can't keep me off of any furniture right now.. I've discovered that I have incredible jumping powers... I'm a teenager now exploring my boundaries... who knows how far I'll be able to jump as I get bigger!

Another thing, I like the toilet.... I am fascinated when the toilet is flushed... I have to be watched, or I'll stick my paws right in there! Mommy tells me it is gross... What's gross??????? Oh well, this is it for my first diary entry!
