Arrival Story:
From the moment she began her relentless scratching and meowing beneath the trap door located in the floor of my pal, Gabe's, kitchen, Percy displayed a singular tenacity. Intransigence, really, but what’s in a word? Or, as I like to say, she’s a survivor. In fact, though Gabe wanted little to do with her, she managed to worm her way into that house, into a comfy bed at night and into having her own, personal food bowl. I took her when Gabe had to move away from New Mexico — and I didn’t. I thought Percy would be a fine companion for my other, lonely kitty. However, what really transpired was that, from the moment she sprang from my arms and into my living room, Percy became my other cat’s worst nightmare. She intimidated, scorned, threatened and humiliated her – and then ate all her food. Eventually, though some unfortunate circumstances, Percy became my only cat. This was when her dark side really took over. She began tearing up the furniture with her claws, bringing live birds into the house, meowing with the delicacy of a donkey in heat and vomiting whenever she was done gorge-feeding. Let’s just say, she rarely takes a break from eating, unless she is ruining something. On the upside, she is incredibly affectionate. She always wants to cuddle. She purrs most of the time. And somehow that makes up for a lot. Now she has a new dog friend in the house to discipline, and she’s got her paws full with this task.

Bio:
If there was a nuclear disaster in the immediate vicinity, Percy would survive and found a new race (despite being neutered).
