Skills:
Other than jettisoning food with skill and adroitness, Sam also is a champion water tester - which requires him to place his paws in any type of water or water-like substance, and then rub them on your face.

Arrival Story:
We discovered Sam - all three feet long, 20 pounds of him - hiding in a kitten's cage at the local pound. Little did we know that Sam had a long history of being an undercover agent, which required him to hide and observe. Thus Sam - who is mostly black and disappears from view when he shuts his eyes - spent the first 6 months squeezing behind the fridge, laying behind the dryer, and hiding in boxes. Sam has since retired from his spy career, and now spends most of his time in the windows watching cat-tv. He also frequently comments on the US political situation and foreign policy, drawing upon his many years in espionage.
Bio:
Sammy passed away in May 2006 from a previously-undetected heart defect. It was over very quickly and he suffered very little, but not a day goes past that I look for him.
