Bye-bye Baby Boy

I can finally bring myself to bring Terrance's kitty blog [strange times we live in] to a close. Anyone who knew him, loved him. He was an exceptionally sweet cat, and he had charm to spare. He was a carpet shredder, a toe biter, and a window blinds swatter, but he gave kisses and hugs, he was endlessly affectionate, and the best feline pillow buddy I ever had. I'll miss him.

All sweetness

Terrance is king lovable this morning -- currently sitting in my lap. While I was making coffee he continuously leaned on my legs, and at one point got up on his back legs and wrapped his paws around me. "Good mornin', I love you!!!" So I had to pick him up several times and give him the customary hugs 'n' kisses, and in return he gave me the adoring headbutt/facerub. This is only unusual to the extent that his morning ritual usually consists of sitting at the front window keenly observing the world, which I think he's about to do . . . he's the awesomest.

The Ol' Bait & Switch

He cannot resist a furry small round anything, which is why he was running around with a bookmark in his mouth this morning. There's something super genius about a cat appropriating an object for a toy that really would be a better cat toy than what it was designed for. Still . . . that's my bookmark. So, I found the fuzzy octopus, launched it, and stealthily recovered the bookmark with the googly eyes. Naturally, he tracked it down in about 2 minutes. He's a magic man!
