THE LONELY WANDER'S JOURNAL

ON MOUSIES AND SALMON

I have been inside the house for five days now and am coming along very well.

Mommy told me this morning that I was a good boy. I use my litter box, I don't bust up anything on the dresser tops or end tables, I'm letting her pet me more, and I don't run under the bed when she enters the bedroom.

She brought me a mousie before she left for work and said, "this is for being such a good boy". I thanked her and began to play with the mousie.

It was cute, purple and smelled like catnip. Whenever I shook it in my mouth, it rattled. I played for a long time and then I lost it somewhere in Mommy's bedroom.

When she came home from work, she couldn't find the mousie anywhere. She think I batted it under the dresser or bed. She didn't feel like looking for it right now. Of course, it's her job to retrieve it!

Mommy isn't feeling too well tonight as she has this nasty cough and sore throat. Whenever she coughs, I jump as she sounds like a doggie.

Lastly, she brought me up a few pieces of salmon from the salmon pawty she had downstairs. I thanked her for that too.

Anyway, I have to go now and take my nappy. I don't think Mommy's going to stay up much later either.

Night-night and meooooows and murrrraaaahhhh's, my Catster friends.
