Arrival Story:
I nearly ran Oscar over; he was sleeping on the blacktop paved road for warmth. When I stopped to make sure he was ok, he came running over and jumped into my car, and then followed me into work (I worked alone at nights), stayed with me all night and then got in my car to come home. I tried to find an alternate home for him, as I already had two cats, but nobody would take him, and by the time someone was interested in taking him (because who can resist those big fat sweet boys) I refused to part with him.
Bio:
Oscar was one of the largest cats I've ever seen; I don't know if it's possible, but he might have been part bobcat or something. His paw filled the palm of my hand, and he weighed 28 pounds at his heaviest (through several years of slow dieting, I had gotten him down to 20 pounds at the time of his death.) He died at the age of 12 of fatty liver; he is greatly missed. :(
