indoors Arrival Story: Kindred Spirit was left by her owners at the age of 15 at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, her name had been Tabby. Why? They had no time for her, how can you not have time for an elderly cat! I felt it was very cruel to put an old girl like her in a shelter. She was marked for euthanasia, but I wanted to give her a better rest of her life so I took her home. The vet said she had a bad heart murmur and horrible teeth as well as numerous other maladies. I planned to keep her till she gave me a sign she was ready to go, I had no idea I would only have a month with her. She stopped eating and drinking and spent a few days just laying on my bed and not moving, she lost 2 pounds and was thin to begin with. I took that as my sign and sent her to the Bridge. I hope she knew I loved her and wished I had more time with her. She wasn't with me long, but she definitely left a pawprint on my heart. Till we meet again sweet Kindred. I've Been On Catster Since:
