Wretched Halloween and the Anthology of English LiteRATure!

I was shut into a windowless room for the duration of the evening last night due to my tendency to get up and leave the house. The tall one who bosses says that I may not go outside on Halloween because I am a black cat. Wretch.

The black DOG was taken out and decorated with a belled collar and shown off like a little prince. Wretch.

It - calls itself Samoa - was nice enough to stop by and see me after and tell me he was sorry I got locked up. He smelled of candy.

While locked in the windowless room I discovered a book in the corner, with a partially missing cover. It had something about Rats on the cover that remained, so I pawed through it to see if it had any useful information. It was filled with the most nonsensical drivel you can imagine. Little funny sentences with matching endings and lots of funny words. Samoa, when he stopped in, told me that it was something called POOTRY and that the ladies love it. Since he seems to be remarkably successful with the ladies, I thought I would give it a try and write a POOM for the Lovely Tia Esmeralda Seraphina. She is an Angel of a Cat and my hearts own!

It didn't work out too well. For one thing, I am not sure of the color of her eyes, and that seems to be required. I don't know enough funny words, though Samoa did try to help. And those matching words proved devilish hard to imitate!

Alas. I will have to find another means to declare my adoration for the truly wondrous T.E.S!

I have been tagged. It is not a bad thing.

I must now state 6 things I dislike or hate. Easy.

1. Wet Stuff, unless it is blood.
2. Birds. All Birds.
3. Being run over by the 2 dogs I live with.
4. Being ignored by the 2 dogs I live with.
5. Polls.
6. Living without my darling Cotton.

Now I pick 6 other cats and they do the same.

Harder.

So it has happened again.

It must be the spring weather because your friend M.M. is in love. Again. And with the dog. Who is totally unacceptable not only because it is a dog, but also it is a male dog. So cross-species, same gender romance.

It began like this. The pair of them were out running around and ran next door to play with the dog Lila. Lila has a cat sister named Suds. Suds is a pal of mine. Small black dog spots Suds and runs to her. Begins cleaning the top of Suds head.

Just like that I was smitten. Only a truly kind dog would clean the head of Suds, who believe me is none too savory.

Later that night I asked small black dog to clean my head. And he complied.

Sigh. Even Cotton drew the line at actually cleaning me. Now I have to see if the small black dog is willing to share it's food. If so, I will marry it and convention be damned.

I'm NOT going anywhere in spite of the excess of dogs in this house. They are beneath my notice. The big one is a dummy and the little one is questionable.

I miss my old sweetheart Cotton. Now there was a dog.

These dogs talk too much and demand too much attention. Let them have it, I need a nap.

there is another dog here. and it is cold outside, so I have to stay in sometimes and put up with it. no good. dog is respectful at least. I'll give him that.
