Arrival Story:
UPDATE: Our sweet, beautiful, little Fancy passed away quietly underneath her favorite tree on Monday Sept. 17, 2007. She had developed a fatal liver disease at the first of the year and although she was never in pain or suffering, she did become terribly thin and wasted. When she left us, she barely weighed 2 1/2 pounds. She spent her last few days very close to us and was still a "talker" and talked to us and cuddled more than usual. She went downstairs her last night with us and died under "her" tree in the early morning hours. We went looking for her at daybreak, because she hadn't come in for breakfast. We brought her little body upstairs and cleaned her up and brushed her pretty white coat. We wrapped her in a brand new baby blanket and took her her to her vet for cremation. We will keep her ashes and a little ceramic paw print. May she sleep with the angels....................About 9 years ago, my husband Dale and I were shopping for pet food in our small, locally-owned pet store for another kitty we had at the time. As we were leaving, I saw three 12-week-old kittens in a cage marked "For Sale". One was snow white and talking to me. I opened the cage to look at her, and she jumped out into my arms and held on for dear life talking to me the whole time. Needless to say, she came home with us after I was assured she had been checked by a vet and had her shots. We took her to our vet anyway, and she was fine, except for her delightful habit of talking constantly to us and loving to be talked to in return.

When she was 2 1/2 years old, she gave us a litter of 6 perfect kittens, and four of them were snow white like Fancy. They were lovely little babies and a delight, but Fancy became quite ill as a result of complications of delivery and had to have surgery when her kittens were 2 days old and was in the hospital for two days, also. She came home just fine (and spayed) though. However, she raised happy, healthy babies into beautiful kittens whom we found loving homes for when they were 12 weeks old. Fancy is an older grandma kitty now, but she still carries on lengthy conversations with us and loves to be brushed and combed anytime and all the time if we could :)
