Arrival Story:
I went to the Westchester County Cat Show to find a cat from the pound, but ended up with lil' baby Sammy instead. His owner was a Canadian woman who bred and showed Bengals, and had recently sold a half-Bengal/half-shorthair female cat named Muffy. Unfortunately, Muffy's new owner had not mentioned that there was an unneutered Tom in the house, and Muffy quickly became "in a family way". Her owner did not want to have to deal with the impending kittens, so the woman took back in Muffy and her two kitties, one of whom was Sammy and one of whom was his brother, a black kitten. She brought them to the cat show along with the purebred Bengals she was showing, in hopes that she could find them a home--and Sammy went home with me. We try not to tease him too much about originally being Canadian.

Bio:
Sammy is a very laid back cat. He used to be a bit of a scaredy cat, running and hiding under the bed whenever new people would come over to visit, but he's gotten much less spooked and more self-assured since his little sister Malka came along. He's very sweet, very gentle, and very handsome--and also a bit on the tubby side.
