Arrival Story:
After a move, Cuchulain found himself the only cat in the house and was bored stiff. This meant trouble, so I decided he needed a companion. I wanted a black cat, so I called the pound to see if they had any black kittens. They said they did, so I went over. I saw a little black female in a cage and fell in love and then was admonished for playing with her and told she was a "bite case." The adoptable black kitten was further on. The entire time, a loud infernal racket like a siren was being raised. I thought, "That's one unhappy cat." Of course I walked on and the creature that was making the noise was this little black male kitten who was hurling himself against the cage door madly, really going crazy and screaming. I said, "I can't have a cat like this," and was about to leave when my friend said, "At least see if you can hold him." The door was open for me and little baby Beli jumped out on to me, calmly and firmly snuggled up to my neck, and immediately started purring. Again, instant love.

Bio:
Beli is pronounced Bee-lay. He is named for a Welsh god of the Underworld. Beli is the youngest cat in the house, but he runs it, or at least thinks he does.
