Favorite Food: Whatever is in her dish (although she's particularly fond of fish dishes and cheese treats)

Skills: Placing herself exactly where it is most inconvenient for her humans

Dwells:

Arrival Story: When my husband and I had been dating for 11 months, we spotted her in the parking lot of his apartment complex. She was adorable and friendly, so we didn't figure she was feral. Later that night when it started raining, though, I got worried about her and we went looking for her, to no avail. The next day, I was sitting on the floor in Jason's living room. He opened the door to throw out a cockroach (I know, EW!), and she was sitting there. She wandered in, curled up in my lap, and started purring. After making sure she didn't belong to anyone, we gave her a home. She's been with us for almost ten years now.

There's something strange in my living room. It's small and green and rustles around in the black screen box with all the pretty plants in it. Mommy and daddy brought it home yesterday, in a cardboard box. They put the box down on the counter, and I thought nothing of it until I heard scratching from the box. That startled me.
I don't know what all the fuss is about, but mommy and daddy spend a lot of time looking at this thing. They even give it food. I'd complain, but I don't want to eat that yucky vegetable stuff they feed it anyway.
Apparently, though, I'm not supposed to knock the black screen box off the table it's on. Mommy got pretty mad about that and made me stay locked in the bedroom all day while she went to work. Don't feel too bad for me. Mommy left the door open to the bathroom so I could use my toilet, and she left food and water for me. I spend my days in the bedroom anyway. I just didn't like not having the option of wandering out if I wanted to.

The strange humans left yesterday morning and haven't come back yet, so I've been really happy. I've been cuddling with my humans, wriggling around on the floor on my back and purring. It's been so nice to have my apartment back.
But there was a little weirdness after the strangers departed. Fortunately, I was well-hidden in my new spot behind the chair in daddy's office when someone knocked on the door. A new strange male human came in with a big scary machine and made a bunch of noise.
I was really scared to come out for a long time, but I finally got hungry. It had been quiet for a while, so I came out. The carpet was damp and smelled like a wet dog, and all the furniture was out of place. I don't really know what my humans are up to. It was weird, but everything seems to be back to normal now.

The strangers still are here, and my humans seem to like them. So I thought, to divert attention back to myself, I would play a little game.
I decided to come out yesterday and hang around all the human folk for the evening. The strangers shut me out of my bedroom last night. The nerve! It was OK sleeping in the living room with mommy and daddy. I am not as traumatized as I was. I even ate all my breakfast today.
Then daddy left and mommy got too busy cleaning up dishes and picking up the living room to pay attention to me. So, I found a nice cozy hiding spot behind the chair in daddy's office and went to sleep.
Mommy went looking for me before she left for work and couldn't find me. She searched all my usual spots and some other places that were entirely too obvious, and I wasn't there. So she freaked out and called daddy, and daddy came home to look for me too.
It was chaos for a few hours. Mommy and daddy both were very upset. The strangers looked for me and seemed upset too. But I just stayed put. I figured if they tried hard enough, they'd find me. And they did.
Mommy was so happy to see me, she hugged me for a long time.
