A Cat in a Dog's World

My Turn

Boy, Mom never helps me write in my diary. I'm so laid back and self sufficient she sometimes forgets I like to chat too.

I have the run of the house now that Raffles (monkey face) has gone to the bridge. It's great, but as much as I enjoy no one chasing me, I wish he was here. We all miss him so much.

It is so quiet. My sisters Callie and Maleka are both almost totally deaf. I think that's why Maleka barks more. She's trying to hear herself. They are 13 and 12 so not a lot of activity anymore.

Callie hasn't been feeling well lately. She's been coughing and throwing up clear slime. It's kind of gross but thanks to my graceful moves I haven't been slimed on yet. Mom had her at the vet yesterday and they took a lot of tests and are stumped. They took xrays too. So now she's on a couple of medicines and a special food which she actually likes because it's canned and she usually doesn't get that. Mom says we'll just have to see if the meds help.

I kissed Callie on her nose today. Mom said that was special medicine indeed.

Gotta run - Callie has to send out gifts too.
