Arrival Story:
Sam's mother was a feral cat who had a stress induced labor after she was caught by a feral cat rescue group. He and his 3 brothers were the size of mice when they were born. Alex is his brother. Sam was placed in a home, but then one of the children started having allergic reactions to him so I took him back with the idea that I would try to place him again. Sam was devastated by the loss of his family, however, and I wanted to make sure it would be a perfect match. It's hard to find the "perfect" home and the fact that he seems to lack proper feline social skills - eliciting violence from even my most Gandhi-like of cats made it doubly difficult. So now Sam lives in the office. When I'm home he is free to roam the house, but usually sticks with me in the office (where I can usually be found when I'm home). I'm hoping some day to be able to let him have free run of the house, but every time I get too confident the fur flies so I've learned to be a little cautious.
