Woohoo!!! I'm 4 today!!! Can you believe it, an outdoor stray/feral kitty being this old! Mom says I'm special!!! Mom has watched me from the time I was about a month old and watched me grow up and turn into the lovable kitty that I am today! I know I'm loved!!!
I've been coming around almost every day this past week. Mom would pet me and tell me how many more days til my birthday and now it's finally here! I stuck around for 45 minutes today getting loved on by mom until she had to leave. I wanted those birthday lovins today! Plus she sang me happy birthday too. Too bad we don't know what happened to Orange, Little Tanner and my other siblings. I'm the only one left but mom's happy I'm still around.
So, there's 1824 kitties on Catster right now celebrating a birthday today! Happy Birthday to us all and hope we have many, many more birthdays to come to share with our friends, family and loved ones! Enjoy your day birthday kitties!!!

Mom came to feed us this morning and I was waiting this time. It's not very often that I come around but I'm still here. Whenever I'm waiting, mom sits and pets me until I'm done eating and decide it's time for me to go. Well this morning was no different. Mom sat with me for 15-20 minutes til the raccoons came and I ran from the food. So, mom decided she'd go and feed the others that were waiting too. I started to follow but then something caught my attention and I disappeared for a few.
I showed back up about 10 minutes later and resumed my pettings from mom. Then, out of the blue, I bit mom and hard too. She let out a scream and I ran. I stopped about 5 feet from her and just sat there and looked. I bit the palm of her hand and drew blood. She has 2 punctures now. I didn't know what to do. That was the first time in 4 years that I've ever done that.
Mom came right over and started petting me again. I don't understand. She says she's not mad at me and she knows I didn't mean it and continued to pet me. She says that my daddy Tanner used to do the same thing all the time when he was outside. He doesn't do that anymore. Mom says they're love bites...we just have to learn how to adjust the amount of pressure in our love bites.
Mom stayed with me for about 10 more minutes after that before she said she had to go. This was the first time that I stuck around the whole time she was there. I usually just eat and run but today was different on a couple different levels.
I know mom loves me and she knows I love her. I hope she's not mad at me for biting her like she says she's not and she hopes I don't feel guilty for biting her and that I come around more often like I used to.
When mom was leaving, she noticed that another little orange kitty had caught my attention. I was off to investigate.

I went to feed the cats this morning and was really sad thinking about Thomas when I got there. I'm not sure if I imagined it but Sampson (one of the cats I feed) seemed a little out of sorts. When I opened the car door, with the way he was acting, I thought I'd hear Thomas say hello. He's the only cat that Sampson reacts differently to when he's around. But, when I got out of the car, no Thomas. So, I went around and put the food down for the rest of them. When I came back to the car and was about to open the door, I looked out into the cul-de-sac outside the complex and there sat a kitty. It didn't seem to react to my voice or even my presence. So, I walked around the bushes over to the fence separating me from the cat. It was dark out but I could still tell it was a orange/light colored cat. So, I called his name and said hello to him. I said "come here Thomas" and he ran right to me...crying his little cry. He was happy to see me and I made sure he knows I was happy to see him too. I put some food down for him and talked to him while he ate. He didn't really want me to touch him while he ate. He didn't stick around but for a few minutes and he wanted me to pet him after he ate but when I did, he cried like it hurt. I know he had a wound behind his left ear but he cried out when I touched his sides too. I hope he's ok. Then he walked thru the gate into the pool area and he rolled around on the concrete scratching his back. He washed his face and then he was off and running. It was SO good to see him!!! He made my day!!! I'm glad my little boy is still alive! I love you Thomas!!!
