Arrival Story:
My dad was not a cat person, but to make my mom happy he brought her to the Chicago Anti-cruelty Society to "look" at the cats. Big mistake! She fell in love with me within seconds of walking through the door. It said on the tag on my cage that I had been sick with an upper-respiratory infection when I arrived and had been quarantined for weeks, resulting in depression. My mom could not resist giving me a healthy, happy new life. She held me for twenty minutes and refused to look at any other cat. My dad knew he couldn't tear my mom away from me. Mom promised Dad that he could name me if she could take me home. He took her up on the offer. He named me "Ninja." After I was spayed, Mom and Dad took me home! Of course, it didn't take long before Dad was just as in love with me as Mom; I am rather charming. In case you're wondering I have definitely lived up to my name .

Have you ever been so bored that you just went crazy?

My mom and dad have been working on their computers all morning and haven't paid any attention to ME! I am so bored that I have spent the past fifteen minutes running around the apartment in circles, meowing intermittently, to get those foolish, boring parents to play with me. I am SOOOO bored. I want to play. ...hey, wait maybe there is a bird or squirrel close to the window that I can stare at until Mom and Dad stop being so boring...off I go!

How I helped Mommy get a new mattress

My mom and dad let me sleep with them on their fifteen year-old full size mattress. It is small with all three of us in there at night, and sometimes Mom and Dad kick me by accident. I can tell that Mommy wants a nice, big, soft new bed so the other night I did something to help her. Mom and Dad were gone Saturday night, and there was a big storm. I got a little scared sitting on the windowsill in their bedroom. I was so frightened that I think, if I were human, I would have peed my pants. But since I am a cat, and I have no pants, I jumped on to Daddy's pillow and peed on that instead - my warm smelly pee ran right onto the sheets and soaked through the bed pad. In one fell swoop, I punished Mom and Dad for leaving me over night, and I got us a new mattress. I am a crafty little Ninja. Mom cleaned up the mattress and flipped it over but convinced Dad it was time for a new, bigger one. And they weren't even mad at me. They felt bad that I was so scared and pampered me for the next week. I think Dad might be on to me though. I heard him tell Mom that he thought she had put me up to my little pisscapade.
