Birthday: March 18th 1997 Coloration: Black Tiger and White Arrival Story: My Mom's dog had passed away leaving her and Cassandra kitty on their own. Cassandra did not like it when Mom would go to work because she was left by herself and she was lonely, so she would give big meow cries. My Mom finally decided to add another member to the family. Lucky for me she had a friend who worked at a rescue shelter in LA. Somebody had recently abandoned me and my family in a trash can outside the shelter. When Mom arrived to check out all the kittens who needed a home (there were lots of us) I just knew she was the one for me. So as she leaned on the table where we were all playing, I crawled up her arm, onto her back, and fell sound asleep. It worked. Mom pointed to her back and told the lady "I'll take this one!" Bio: In 2000 we discovered that Misty had kidney disease. We worked with the wonderful vet to put Misty on a special diet of homemade food and to help her drink a lot of water. However after several spells of illness she succummed to the disease and passed away in 2004. Thankfully I was blessed to be with her, holding her, as she made her transition.
