Arrival Story:
My Dad moved out of employee housing at a high end Dude ranch and left me behind. I joined the dozen or so homeless feral cats who were fed by the lovely woman who fed all the animals on the ranch. Besides that woman, me and the other wild kitties avoided all humans. However one day a lady moved in to one of the cottages and although she was already owned by two female indoor cats, I decided that she needed a man to watch after her. She worked late nights and went in early in the mornings. And in that hood there were lots of wild animals like foxes and skunks and racoons who could cause serious problems for her (and me too but I'm not afraid of anything). So I perched on her window AC unit and kept an eye on my adopted family. And whenever she went to work in the dark or was coming home in the dark, I'd walk her the whole way. She was so grateful for the brave company that she created a nice cushioned bed in a box and put it on a small table outside her door, under the AC, where I slept. And boy, I became very popular with the feral females as they would join me in my comfy box and we'd all stay warm cuddling through the harsh winter nights. Having our bed up from the ground also kept us safe from the wild animals who patroled the area at night. My lady also made sure there was always fresh water for me (on top of the AC)each day and she talked to me of her appreciation constantly. I'm not a big talker but I'd allow only this human to pet me. I think we'd have had a great love affair if we were only the same species!!

Bio:
My lady friend had to move to another state and since she drove with her two cats, she couldn't take me too, even though I gave her every sign that I wanted to be packed in her car with everything else. So we made a plan. The woman who fed all the animals was to retire in a couple years and move near where my lady now lives. She was going to take many of the animals with her to the farm she was retiring to and she would deliver me to my lady along the way. However that wonderful woman passed away a year later. Now my lady and I have only our memories, but I know we will live in each other's hearts forever. I am certain we are soulmates.
