Arrival Story:
We got 2 darling black kittens from the local animal shelter when I was a kid. They were so much fun! Sadly, one of them disappeared - we lwere living in New Mexico at that time, near an open field area - a coyote or owl probably got him. So then we only had one -- but she was very much loved. It was great how she traveled back and forth with us by car several times from California to Louisiana. --> --> --> One of my favorite memories is how my mother would have neighbors call our phone so she could show someone how Panther would answer it! Bio:
Panther was with us for a few years in the 1960's, for too short a time. She got lost or more likely stolen while we were traveling with her, and we never found her. She was wearing a little red harness and disappeared as we stayed overnight at a motel while returning to California from Louisiana. I was a very heartbroken kid. . . . She'll always have a special place in my heart. Gone, but not forgotten . . . R I P
