Arrival Story: My friend Jeni bought Zoie while we rented an apartment together. After I moved out, three years later, she was going to share rent with me again. I went and picked up Zoie and then Jeni never moved in. After about two years had passed, she said Zoie was my cat and she never could or would take her away.

Bio: Zoie is my baby Siamese and always will be. This is the first Siamese I have had and she will not be my last. I love the way she vocalizes everything and howls when she wants me. She meows everytime I look at her. She loves to be held and cuddled and kissed and hugged. She has hip dysplasia and arthritus and does not walk well, but manages to follow me around and jump up to see me. UPDATE: Zoie had her first appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. Suprisingly, he told me that she does not have hip dysplasia, rather severe arthritis. Her right front elbow is "destroyed." But, thankfully, he did not think it was bone cancer. She is taking a steroid and seems to be marginally improving. I can tell, she is improving, because she is even more of a leach than usual, due to the fact that she can now jump up, to where ever I am, much easier.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, since my last update, Zoie went downhill quickly. She developed diabetes due to the steroid she was on and also developed many other symptoms. She was no longer able to hold her bladder. Zoie was humanely euthanized in November 2005. I am still heartbroken over this loss. I recently went to a cat show and could barely look at the Siamese without crying. When I call the other cats, I still rattle off her name out of habit. When I whistle, I still look for her to come running.
