Arrival Story:
My Mom passed away in July 2006 and we had lived together. The house was just so darned lonely. I went to the local humane society to meet a cat I had seen on line. The sent me to the catery - where the cats who had been there a long time hung out -- they roam in this large room with other cats and are not in cages. I sat down on a bench and Tyler (then Popeye) jumped on my lap, made himself at home and let me pet him as long as I wanted. After spending over a year and half in the shelter, a week later on April 6, 2007, Tyler came to his forever home.

He was a stray when he came to the humane society, but was neutered when they found him, so he must had been someone's baby before he was found.

A "Down the Shore" Cat's Life

Meowmy finally stopped pro"cat"stinating ...

It has been a long, long, long time since I have written my one and only diary entry. Yesterday, we realized that if we don't write in our diary we can't be picked as DDP (like my Sweetie Honey's cousin Vinnie -- go Vinnie !!!!!!).

So here goes ... I love living with Meowmy at the Jersey Shore ... the weather is not as cold here as other places in New Jersey and it doesn't snow often in our neck of the woods. I do try and sniff a little bit of the cold air when Meowmy comes in the front door, but I am a smart kitty and know that a warm furrever home, with my loving Meowmy, with lots of kibbles, treats, toys, my cube and nip from Honey and everything else that could make a cat happy, are better than any trip outside. I am curious, like any self-respecting cat, but I know that I am happy and healthy and this Meomwy's boy is king of this castle. - hehe.

It will soon be one year since Honey and I met -- it was Mardi Gras time and fate took over and we have been besties and sweeties since then. Meowmy and I agree that since Honey and Mama have come into our lives, we are very happy.

Meowmy, pr0mise me that you will help me write in my diary more often - dare I say, once a week -- he he.

My first diary entry . . .

Meowmy asked me if I wanted to have a diary page and I was so excited that I would have this chance. We live "down the shore" in NJ and so this time of year there are a lot of tourists. Meowmy has promised me a stroller - the blue one like Rocky Ann's. She is a little nervous about putting it together -- but she is my Meowmy and any Meowmy of mine can do anything she sets her mind to (I hope). We might have to get my Uncle David to help.

She wants to take me out as soon as I get used to the stroller in the house, but with all the tourists around she will have a hard time finding a quiet place to take me strolling my first few times. I am really good in my carrier whether we are going to the v*t or to get groomed, so she thinks I will just luv strolling.

Meowmy was a little sad tonight but I jumped on her tummy and put my paw on her shoulder and made her feel better. She held my hand and we just sat there quietly enjoying each others company.

Meowmy added new photos to my page today and I told her what to write for the captions -- I think I was quite clever (and so did Meowmy).

I will write again soon -- or I should say I will write when I can get Meowmy to type for me.
