Arrival Story:
She came from the dog pound. She had been living under someone's shed for two weeks and was rather thin. She was calm at the pound but, the minute I brought her home, she became an attack cat. Now, she can be quite cuddly when she wants to be. Her name is Irish and it means an open door party were all are welcome and she was welcomed to my home.

Bio:
Ceili had surgery for a hernia and went into renal failure; probably from the anesthesia (pre-op blood work was fine). Her temp was only 92 and she couldn't stand. She was rushed to the vet where the preliminary work was done by a per diem vet (same one that caused me not to declaw anymore)AFTER hours and then went to an emergency animal hospital. Initially, her lab values stabilized but then reversed slightly and she is in chronic renal failure. If saving her life at the pound didn't make her grateful, this did and she is now a cuddle bunny...of course, when she wants to be. Update: Ceili's labs are ALL normal...she is not in CRF! Update: Though Ceilli's labs did normalize for a while, she ended up succumbing to chronic renal failure.
