outdoors Arrival Story: Gray Boy was a feral who came to stay with me outside. I made sure he always had food and a heated water bowl in the winter. He stayed in the various kitty condos on the back patio. He would never let me touch him but he would talk to me. His special thing was to come to the back door and look in until I took notice of him. I would then get a can of food and ask him if he wanted some. He would answer me then I would say "are you sure", he would answer me. This was his special treat. He was a really nice cat and I talked to him whenever I was outside. When I went away he would come to greet me when I got home.
He was a true feral in that he would not let me touch him but when I talked to him I could get within a foot. Sometimes when he was eating I would sneak in a quick pet. He would get mad and hiss but he didn't run away. He went through a lot of problems with abscesses but wouldn't let me help him. He started to lose weight and look really scraggly towards the end. On his last day I gave him his canned food. The next morning my neighbor came over and told me there was a dead cat in his drive, unfortunately it was Gray Boy. I took him and buried him in the back yard. I really miss that cat. In spite of everything he was a really nice cat. At least he had a home and food. Now he is at the Rainbow Bridge and I'm sure he will be waiting for me. Forums Motto: Don't Bother Me The Groups I'm In: Febreze® Pet Odor Eliminator⢠I've Been On Catster Since:
