I've only been on Catster for around one week so far and I've already made so many wonderful friends and even received some rosettes!

Thank you Apophis, JoJo, Fey, Samson, Mittens, RC, Abby, Smudge, Millie, and Bob!!!! You all have made my day.

I've been feeling so much better this past week. I'm even back to stirring up some trouble with Amelia.

Hope you all are having a great weekend too. I'm enjoying the beautiful 70 degree weather we are having here in Massachusetts. Ahhh, life is good right now.....

i gave everyone quite a scare on wednesday night when cordelia came down thinking i was meowing for dinner and found out that unfortunately, i was calling for help. i felt so sick and had already thrown up all around the living room and kitchen. i didn't know what to do with myself so i just walked in circles downstairs crying out with the hopes that someone would realize what was going on.

even though i usually put up a good fight when being put in my carrier, i knew it was for the best, and allowed cordelia to get me settled in. i needed some medical attention! and so, i found myself at the vet er. even though i had been vomiting continually all evening and was completely worn out, i still had to muster up the energy to be friendly and greet my doctor at the vet. i was so grateful to be in the arms of a great doctor who knew just what i needed. i spent about 30 hours at the er where i was first given iv fluids to perk me back up. then i got x-rays, bloodwork, and was treated with some anti-nausea meds. i've had stomach problems for a while, but this was a real exacerbation of my usual symptoms, which is the ocassional vomiting followed by my running off, playing, sleeping, hanging out with my people, etc.

my family has been trying to get a diagnosis, but it could be so many things and so i've been going to the vet and getting lots of medical advice. i do have a small mass on my kidney and a little abnormality in my lower intestines, but it's unclear if this is the problem. i may need surgery and i am dreading that because i'm a very sensitive guy and get stressed out at the hospital. (i must say that everyone loved me at the er the other night though..i was very popular with the doctors and techs.)

anyway, i'm enjoying my first full day back home. i'm taking my meds, eating well, and relaxing. it's nice to feel like myself again.
