Arrival Story:
I had just moved into my own house...first one out of the dorms in college. I missed my cat from home, so decided to get my own. Own house, own cat, I thought. I answered an ad in the paper for free kittens. Sweet B was the first to catch my eye because of the pretty gold stripes on her cheeks, and the hardest to get my hands on. As a kitten, she would sleep with me at night, making a nest in my hair and purring so sweetly.

Sweet B was strange. It's hard to say exactly how she was strange, though. She wasn't much on lovin', unless you went to her and rubbed her belly. She'd roll over and purr and purr for as long as you rubbed. She had extra toes on her front feet and looked kind of like she was rolling along when she walked. Damiana (who inexplicably disappeared long ago) was her first love, and she always thought that Sarah Kitty was a princess. When the delicate Bwana came along, Hazel would protect her from the big, goofy, thought-he-was-too-cool-for-school Aragorn. And boy, could she make him back down! She was loyal to Bwana and loved her with all of her heart until she passed recently, at the age of 14. I miss her dearly. But I don't think Bwana does.
