Leave a treat for Fritz ~ In Loving Memory ~

Cow Cat

Kitty Complexion:
sleepyvery active
not curiousvery curious
not vocalvery vocal

Quick Bio:
-pound cat

Salmon treats, playing, following mom around the house, lurking as high above as possible, tapping mom on the shoulder and scaring her in the middle of the night when she's at the computer...

Fritz hated my rats and later my ferrets. And Tumbles (the only female cat in the household), he hated Tumbles. He was only mean to tumbles, he just glared at the other objects of his disdain.

Favorite Toy:
Crumpled up piece of paper -- he loved to play soccer. And twist ties! And water bottle caps! For some reason garbage made the best toys.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Top of the 15 foot high cat tree (we had cathedral ceilings, lucky cats!)

Favorite Food:
He always went nuts when I was eating a cinnamon bagel but he didn't ever get any, poor guy. I fed Pet Guard, California Natural and Wellness.

Fritz could make his feet hard, pointy and weigh 50lbs each. Especially when he was walking across you when you're in bed.

Arrival Story:
In July 1996, I helped pick out Fritz from the humane society for another family member in the same household. Fritz was an adult - six years old. Who can have a cat for any length of time, let alone six years, and then abandon it? I don't understand. He was an owner turn in. Anyway, Fritz picked me as his human and refused to sleep anywhere except in my room... so when I moved, he came with me. He lived with me in various places; Bothell, Redmond, Denver (Colorado) and Kennydale. In Redmond he lived with two other kitties, Java (a stray we took in from Dallas, Texas who moved to Seattle with my then-boyfriend) and my then-boyfriend's Persian, Casey. In Kennydale he shared the house with Casey and our housemate's kitties, Tumbles and Jasper.

Fritz' kidneys failed in July 2000. We gave him subcutaneous injections at home for quite a while before he became anemic. His kidneys never recovered so we let him pass on. I no longer have kitties or other small fuzzies, my heart was broken when Fritz passed and I couldn't replace him with another feline. I showed horses for years and years and wanted to start competing again but I couldn't afford a horse so I became involved with dog rescue and am doing Agility with my two rescued canines. Someday I'll have horses and kitties again. Unless I'm still with the current boyfriend who has cat allergies... *sniff* I have to get my kitty fixes at my friends' houses.
