Arrival Story: My husband and I had just moved in together and I was missing my cat I had left behind with my parents. My husband had an elderly Burmese named Ninja at home that kept me company while he worked the midnight shift. Although I appreciated Ninja's company, I felt as though I was missing something. I wanted to bring my cat from my parent's home to live with us, but she was very aggressive and Ninja was (and still is!) so old and frail I didn't want her to pick on him. We decided to check out the local shelter for a kitty in need of love and that's when I met my Beans. He was the loudest one there and he kept rubbing himself against the cage, wanting me to pet him. I instantly fell in love and brought him home to join our little family.
Bio: Adopted from the Porter County Animal Shelter in February, 1999 - possibly rescued from an abusive home. His tail appears to have been broken near the tip and he was very frightened of most people (especially men) when he first joined our family.
