Arrival Story:
My daughter found Lucky & a couple of his siblings abandoned at her grade school right before Thanksgiving in 1998. She brought him home & claimed that he followed her, so she made him a little "house" out of a few bricks out in the yard & put him in there with some food & water. In the middle of the night, I started worrying about him freezing to death & went out & brought him in. I put him in the bed with me to protect him from our other cat & he's been here ever since.
Bio:
The week of 2/8/09, we started to notice that Lucky was starting to limp & was swatting the other cats away. On the 15th, he was unable to jump onto the food counter, and seemed to be in a lot of pain. We had planned to keep an eye on him throughout the 16th & then make decision based on his quality of life after that. He took that decision out of our hands & crossed the Rainbow Bridge early in the afternoon of February 16, 2009.

I've discovered that I lurve the rabbit cage. I want to live in it. Its nice & soft. See my beautiful picture up there? I'm *in* the rabbit cage rolling around. Mom came in & found me there. I spent the whole day in it.

The other day my girl took me in her bedroom & started cutting my fur!!! Meh!! It made me very mad, but those spots of fur that were hurting me are gone now & Mom says it feels better to pet me. (we couldn't comb the mats out & had to cut them)

Lucky has stopped caring much about grooming himself in the past few months. I'm not sure why, but at one time, he was VERY fastidious. Now he has a back full of dreadlocks that need to be brushed out, badly.
