Arrival Story:
We had just moved to a small town with 4 other cats. The house we moved to had a basement. We never thought to check the basement for anything. 2 of the kittens went down to the basement and got into some rat poison that the previous tenant had left behind there. To make a long story short the kittens passed away. I was very upset. We got rid of the poison in the basement so our other adult cats would not eat it. After about 3 weeks we were at some friends house and they own a dog kennel that raises Malamutes. In behind this kennel they had an old house where they had some cats who had kittens. I decided I wanted another kitten. We went over to this house to see them and one of them was so scared it ran and hid behind a couch that was there.........all the other ones were coming up to us to see us but this other on wanted nothing to do with us. So of course that was the one I wanted. We had to move some furniture to get the little guy and we also had to corner him but we finally got him and he has been one of the best cats I have owned.

Bio:
We had two other cats when we brought Sam home. They didn't really like Sam very much. But that was okay, Sam didn't like them very much either. It took awhile but they finally got to a point where they tolerated each other. Casper and Sam never really got to like each other much but our other cat Boots and Sam got to be good friends. Boots taught Sam how to fetch. Sam taught himself how to pee in the toilet. He would walk into the bathroom with my husband or me and watch what we were doing and then soon he was peeing in the toilet himself. Sam does not like strangers at all. We once found him hiding in a drawer full of my daughters stuffed animals when we had friends over one time. It looked so funny. Every night Sam sleeps on my bed at my feet, he is a very lovable cat. I am glad he is the one I picked that day. 3 years ago we brought home a puppy. Sam didn't like Whiski at all for the first few days but after a while he got to like the Whiski. Sam lets Whiski know that when Whiski is in the house Sam is boss. Sam does not like to go outside but if I am sitting on the porch he will come out to be with me and look around other than that he is strictly indoors cat. Whiski and Sam are now the best of friends.

It has been awhile since I have been writing on here. Meow. Not much is happening. Cleo is growing and he tries to play with me all the time. Sometimes I will play and sometimes not. Mom put some funny things on my claws the other day. She saysa that they are called Soft Paws and will keep me from scratching everything and everyone. I don't like them ...as soon as she put them on me I tried to chew them off. I am getting used to them though. The ones they put on Cleo you can't see............but mine are PURPLE!!!!. How girlie is that. Don't they know I am a BOY!!!. Oh well I don't have much choice. They won't come off. I have tried and tried. I haven't been feeling good lately. I think I have a cold. Mom says if I don't get better she is going to have to take me to the vet. Yuck. I will get better. Got to go now. I will write again soon.

Meow, meow Sam

Hi its just me, Sam. I haven't written on here for a while. Cleo and I have been having too much fun. We chase each other around the house and play with the toys. Cleo attacks me so I attack him back. It is so much fun. I haven't had anyone to play with for a few years now. Mom bought us new treats yesterday...Dried fish...... I am not sure I like it and Cleo doesn't like them. Mom even tried to give one to whiski ( and he eats anything) and he spit it out on the floor. LOL. I have to go now. Cleo wants his turn to write in his diary.

Bye for now Meow, meow, Sam

Not much new to write today. Mom let me go outside with her today. She goes outside and sits on the porch and she lets me come out with her to sit on the porch in the fresh air. I am too scared to go out by myself so Mom has to be there. I like to be inside. Cleo and I are getting along now. He attacks my tail and jumps on my back all the time so I turn around and attack him right back. We have fun. I am teaching him how to be nice though. LOL. Cleo isn't even afraid of Whiski anymore either. I don't know how he could have been afraid of him in the first place........Whiski is a wimp. All I have to do is lift my paw if he is bugging me and Whiski runs away. What a wimp he is. LOL. He is about 10 times bigger than me.....you would think that he would not be scared of lil ol me...........he he he. I do have very sharp claws though and so does Cleo. It is bedtime, time to go lay on Moms feet for the night. I know she loves it because I keep her feet nice and warm all night. Sometimes she tries to move but I am so tired she just pushes me around until she is comfortable again and I don't move. G'nite.

Bye for now Meow, meow, Sam (the boss )
