As some of you may know, I was born in the great state of Texas. This time of year is one of the most gorgeous times in Texas......
You see, the end of February/ beginning- mid March, the wild flowers start blooming.... Bluebonnets (the state flower), Indian Paintbrush, Mexican Hats, Wine Cups, and many, many more dot the Texas Hill Country in shining glory! Anyway, the song The Yellow Rose of Texas is one of mom's favorite songs- not to mention her favorite flower..... It reminds her of how beautiful the state of Texas is this time of year. It also reminds us of a little house mom rented that had rose bushes in the back yard. Mom never did anything with those bushes (except cut the booms), but every year they came out with the most amazing colors.... red, pink, and yes, yellow.... there were even yellow roses with pink edges! But it didnt stop there.... there were Daffodils, Irises, and some purple flowers too...... Not to mention the Red Bud tree in the front yard..... *sigh, oh the memories*
Sorry we have not been on very much lately. Mom has been super busy with her fieldwork, which I am proud to say is going well! Yahoo!!! Mom has received positive feedback from PT's and one of the other OT's today... oh and not to mention the manager of the rehab dept too! Keep your paws crossed that things continue to go well!
