Back on Catster!

*Meow Meow* Fellow Beauty Queens & Kings...

I'm back on Catster after being on holiday in Richmond, VA. It was very relaxing to be at the old house again after being in such a small apartment for so long in Charlotte. Now we're all back in Charlotte, NC though...new apartment (thank goodness! much more room to strut around and show off my beauty!)

Momma tried updating my page some more today, but the computer won't upload pictures from the camera for some reason..."If it's not one thing, it's another" she says. I hope she gets that fixed though because the New Year is right around the corner & this "Fengal" can't go into the New Year with last years style. Who does she think I am, some common house cat? Hey, just because I was found a stray in some lady's yard covered in every kind of parasite imaginable & on the verge of death, certainly does not mean that I am not the MOST BEAUTIFUL "FENGAL" QUEEN you have ever seen. She better get it together...that's all I'm saying!

I'VE BEEN TAGDED!

Oh my goodness...I've been tagged everyone! This is very exciting. I have never been tagged before...well, besides *paw pawing* my sister kitty Polkadot, but this is different.

My fun feline facts :

1. I was adopted after my Mum saw me posted almost two years ago on a Richmond, VA Freecycle. Two Pitbulls found me in their yard. They were so nice and they saw that I needed help. They started licking me and finally alerted their Momma. Their Momma was a nice lady, who after posting me on the Freecycle, allowed my forever human Momma to adopt me. She drove across town to pick me up...and that was that!

2. I used to have a kitty brother named Simon. He was an orange tabby DSH. He was two years older than me and oh so handsome. He was my love...my King...my everything...although the feelings were not always mutual. *sigh* Sadly, he was hit by a car suddenly (he was an indoor/outdoor cat) about a year and a half ago. I grieved the loss of my "Big SI" for months. I stopped playong with my toys, wouldnt get on my favorite kitty perch, & had a tough time eating. Time marched on though...and so did I, slowly but surely. I know we'll be together again one day, but not anytime soon. My Mommas need me!

3. I almost died from the big pet food recall. When my Mommas were first relocating down to Charlotte we all stayed in this pet friendly hotel. Well for a treat my Mommas decided to buy me a little can of moist kitty food so I wouldnt be so stressed out and help me settle into my new surroundings. Well, that little can of kitty food, which I didnt even eat the entire thing of almost did me in! Within a week I could barely move or hold my head up. My Mommas rushed me to the vet. After running tests the vet said that I had kidney failure and that I would die. One test had to be diluted to even get a reading. My little Momma Sarah brought me back home so I could enjoy my last days where I grew up & with my family. She pampered me, hand fed me, she would wake up several times a night without an alarm to give me water, she would give me medication, and even an IV. With in a week I was almost 100% back to normal. What can I say, I couldnt leave just yet, I still have work to do!

4. My favorite thing to do is play with my feather toy. My Momma flings it up into the air and I jump up so very high and catch it. I even have two pictures my Momma took while I was trying to catch my feather.

5. I love to pose for the camera. While some kitties just won't sit still, like my kitty sister Polkadot, I'll pose for days. Can we say Cat of the Week anyone!?! My Momma is seriously perplexed at why I haven't been chosen yet. I mean I am Samantha The Most Beautiful Princess "Fengal" Beautiful Beauty Queen EVER!

6. I only talk and show affection to my Momma. I'll talked to her when she calls my name or tells me just how beautiful I am and then I'll walk up to her to so she can groom me and kiss me. *purr* I just LOVE my Momma!

7. My true breed is known as "Fengal"...or you could even call me a Princess Fengal. That's right, I'm a one of a kind Fengal. For those of you who don't know, Fengal means faux Bengal. You see, one day this elderly woman was taking a stroll past our house and she saw me sunning myself in front of the glass storm door. She had Bengal kitties most of her life and thought my markings looked like that of a Bengal. Sadly though she was mistaken...the vet labeled me a Domestic Short Hair (or whatever that is)....even so, my Momma insists on proudly calling me Samantha The Most Beautiful Princess "Fengal" Beautiful Beauty Queen EVER!...that's my title...that is what I am.

Home is where the heart is

I'm back from my trip. I went with my Mommas, Peeker, and "the baby" aka Polkadot up to Richmond. It was so nice. I love that house. I grew up there and it's so nice and roomy. My Mommy even let me go outside for a couple of minutes to chomp on some grass...I don't get to do that at the temp. apartment. The weekend was so relaxing that I didn't want to leave...literally! I hid under Momma's bed when it was time to leave and by the time I got to the front door to go out to the car I would kick and fight my way out of Momma's arms, then I would run back upstairs and hide under her bed again. Momma had to run up and try to get me three times before I actually got into the car to go back to the apartment. In the car I cried and cried, pleading with my Momma to please turn the car around, but eventually by the time we hit the highway, I knew it was just no use. *MEEEEOOOOOOOOOWW*
I am truly going stir crazy in this little place. Where is my big window to look out onto the garden? I want to look out and see the pretty cardinals that I dream about catching, or those lovely brown jack rabbits that chew on my grass, or the little chipmunks that scurry across the patio...I like seeing all the pretty flowers that grow and the bugs that they attract. *MEOW* I miss my old house, but at least I'm with my Mommas...and where they are, I am. They are my heart...and after all, home is where the heart is :)

Taking a car ride!

We're go'in on a trip, we're go'in on a trip, we're go'in on a trip hey hey hey hey!

I FINALLY get to go with my Mommas, my brother Peeker, and my little sister Polkadot on a trip back up to Richmond. *MEEEEEEOOOW!* I can't wait. I LOVE car rides. I'm going to sleep on my Mommas lap and explore the car. Today is the best day ever. Richmond here I come!

I know my Momma will take lots of pictures of me because I love to pose in front of the camera. I'll let everyone know how they turn out and tell my Momma to post them on my Photobucket page so everyone can see :)

The "Baby"

I am getting a little better about the "baby."

Polkadot still annoys me...and yes, I still *hiss* at her, stare her down, paw paw her, growl at her, but at least I won't hide from her. Why should a Princess "Fengal" Beautiful Beauty Queen be afraid of a little "baby!?!" I shouldn't!...it's the "BABY" who should be afraid of ME!

Thankfully she knows how to keep her distance. This whole process is going to take "baby" steps...literally.

At least I let her play with my toys sometimes and be close to me (if Momma is around)...like this morning I was playing with my spinning ball toy when Dot came over and Momma put her on her lap...I didn't *hiss* then, oh no, I just continued playing with my toy. Then I even kinda let her play with my feather toy (because Momma was around).

I don't understand this whole "baby" thing though...Who says *Mew Mew* anyway!?! Clearly it's *Meow Meow*...and that "baby" smell. All over my things...everywhere I go it's all "baby."

Well, at least she doesn't know how to climb my kitty perch yet. At least somethings in this world are sacred!

Perhaps I misinterpreted the word, "baby." Okay, so my Momma adopted a little baby kitten named Polkadot. I thought I would be excited about it, but it turns out...I'M NOT! *HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS*

It has that baby smell! I never smelled like that when I was a kitten...did I!?!
oh I don't know...it's just so little though...so cute...cuter than me!?!, NEVER!!!
I'm just very unsure about this "baby."

I've hidden under my Momma's bed most of the day. I want to play with my toys so badly, but that "baby" is over there...playing with all of them...getting her babiness all over my beauty queen things.

I'm having a baby!

*Mew Mew* Everyone...

Guess what!?! I'm having a baby! *MEOW*

Well, let's get something straight first, I'm not actually HAVING a baby...I mean, I am spayed and there's no man in my life *sigh*, but my Momma and I are adopting one today. Her name is Polkadot. She is about 8 weeks old. She has pretty black and white fur with black spots on her back, hence the name Polkadot...or just Dot for short if you like.

My Momma is going to make her a page just like I have too :)

I was so excited that today was the big adoption day that this morning I ran into my Momma's room, jumped on her when she was sound alseep in her bed, and then flew through the air to look out the window to see if she was on her way. I don't think my Momma liked that too much...oh well.

Time to pick her up!
