I was wacthing a friends cat named Tilly for a month or so. I became very attatched to her and was upset about returning her to my friends. I came to the conclusion that I too needed a cat of my own. I went to the Humane Society in Carlsbad and looked for a cat that needed a home to call her own. I looked at one cat and she wasn't very affectionate. I asked to see another cat and they brought cat number two, and she chose me instantly. She sat in my lap and purred. She was the most affectionate cat I'd ever seen. She had found her new home and and was christened as "Stogie." It was a marriage made in heaven. We're buds to the end.

It is with sad news that I report the passing one of my real life cat pals. My best friends cats passed away last weekend after a very short illness. Bobo was definetly a cool cat to say the least. Your lap was his lap. He never met a lap he didn't like. Alhough he isn't a catster pal, he was my catpal. He is one of the three cats that convinced me that I needed a cat of my very own. Paul and I talked about Bobo last night on the phone. Just remembering the good times with him pouncing on anything/anyone that was within his reach. I told him Bobo wasn't in anymore pain and was at the Rainbow Bridge looking down on him. He said Bobo died in his arms. I told him that was the best gift he could give to his beloved cat. I know he's up there looking down on me, smiling at me as I write my first diary posting about him. Stay well my friend. And when it's Stogies time to make the journey, give her cat hugs and please watch her back. She'll be looking for you at the front gate with smiles on, meowing out loud. Dick
