Sleeping on the kitchen floor, sleeping on the fishtank, sleeping on clean laundry, sleeping on the kitchen counter, sleeping on you... BOXES!!
Being disturbed while sleeping, Hot Rod trying to bully him, being barked at, not getting some of the ham that the turtle eats
BOXES!!! and bags, and coolers. The smaller the better.
Favorite Nap Spot:
On the kitchen counter, fishtank, anywhere in the way
Tortuga (my pet snapping turtle) eats ham lunchmeat, and Tiny demands it when I feed him. He also like tunafish and Hot Rod's ears.
Sleeping and being a priss. He can also zoom around the house at breakneck speed without... breaking... anything.
When my beloved Cymric (long-haired Manx), Austin, died of anit-freeze poisoning, I was devastated. I was so inconsolable that I had to skip school for a day and a half before I could go back. He was the world's coolest cat, but he deserves his own page to tell his story. A couple of months after Austin died, I couldn't help but feel his ghost silenty following me around, begging me to move on. I began looking in the papers for ads about Manx kittens and found one. I called that Friday and asked about them. The next day, my dad, brother and (then) boyfriend went to look at the 2 available kittens. I'm glad we did. They were in terrible surroundings. The people that had them lived in sick conditions in a tumbledown shack of a mobile home. We selected Tiny because we already had two female cats back at home and wanted a change in our feline trend. My only regret is not shelling out another $75 to break his sister out.
Tiny is my little luv bug. He can be mean, but it's because he's really picky about EVERYTHING. I'm very protective of him because of what happened to Austin. Some of his quirks include: drinking absolutely NO water unless it is running out of a sink or in the toilet, getting up on top of the kitchen cabinets and "observing," and he HAS to join you in the bathroom when you go. Oh, and he's not really a Manx, he's a Cymric (Coom-rick). Cymrics, for those who do not know, are just basically Manx cats with longer hair. They're even put into the same category at cat shows, Cymric class being a subsection in the Manx class. They get their name from Wales, because that's what it used to be called. An interesting story about Tiny is when he got neutered. We took him to the vet to get "done" and before we left, the vet told us that he was a cryptorchid (only one of his little kitty nuts had dropped) and it would cost extra to remove the undescended testicle. We said okay, because it had to be done. Well, I went by myself to pick him up and this is what I was told. "We had to open him up further than we originally thought we would. However, even then, we couln't find his other testicle. We did clip everything, so eventually, it will dissolve back onto the body." I had never heard of a vet not being able to "find" something on the inside of an animal, although later (when I started working for a vet) I found out that the guy is a crackpot! But at the time, we didn't know any better. So then and still to this day, Tiny gets the nickname, "Uni-Baller."
