Arrival Story:
Slick has led several lives. When we adopted her she was the 'guard cat' at a lawn mower repair place that was going out of business. The owner begged Mike to take her because his relatives had too many cats and she was an independacat. Mike took me to the shop and they told the sad story to me. She had no name and was about 8 years old. I told the man that he had to name her, so being that she was covered in machine oil, he named her Slick.

Slick started off as an indoor/outdoor cat with us until Mike started looking like a cat in his uniform. Slick, and by then our other cats, were moved to the front porch. When our Lab Bo came along, the cats moved to the barn. Between dogs, they moved back to the porch, now they are back at the barn. In one of her previous lives, Slick may also have been a mother on the streets. We figure she is about 21 years old and at one time weighed about 20 lbs.

Mom's been really busy these last few days. She's also behind on the housework. I'm back from my vacation, so I'll get her after Part 1 tonight.
Sorry for the delay.

I'm on a cabbatical (sabbatical) right now. Mom transcribed an article I had written for Loki about humans. Since Loki's contest isn't happening, I asked her to share it with you until I come home. It's copyrighted, so please don't reprint without mom's permission.

Mom will submit part of it here everyday starting in a day or two.

Take care,
Momma Slick

Mom came out to take care of us and I lost a little of my dinner. What grossed out my family is the way I took care of the situation. Sorry Mom and girls.
