Well my baby, it is your one year anniversary today. What a horrible day that was. We still have so many things we wish we had done with you. We wish we had more pictures, wish we had played with you more, wish we had loved on you more, and the list goes on. Of course, you know we could not have loved you anymore. Or spoiled you anymore. It's been hard. Sometimes we've seen you walking down the hall, or coming around the corner. We still feel you at the foot of the bed sleeping. We even make sure the towels are out of the floor as soon as we bathe in case the litter box hasn't been scooped to your satisfaction and you need to let us know by "baptizing" the towel. As much as we miss you, we would not have wanted you to suffer and know how happy and healthy you must be at Rainbow Bridge.
Although there will never be a cat like you, we did rescue and keep two orphaned kittens. Their mom was run over by a car when they were 3 wks and we took them in and kept them with us. The boy is Ranger, of course your Dad named him. I finally named the girl Summer. She reminds me a lot of you. She doesn't like a dirty litter box. She loves for Dad to feed her his food. She loves to snuggle when she wants to. She hides when it's time for me to leave so I feel quilty all day because I didn't get to say "bye". You would have pretended you didn't like them but I think you would have. Dad and I talk of you often and hope you know how much we love and miss you. The other cats who were here with you miss you too. We'll never forget you.

This was posted in a group and I think it is a great idea.
Dear Every Fur, I just found out that 18 years ago someone started a tradition to honor their beloved furbaby(ies) that crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Every year on April 1st the furbaby's pawrent writes them a letter and puts it inside a helium balloon and releases it up to Heaven where it flies straight to the Rainbow Bridge. Mama is already planning on carring on this sweet tradition and hopes that other angels will too....let's fill the sky with balloons of every color of the rainbow on that day! Mama is going to post my letter in my diary for everyone to read and she is hoping that you will do the same.

It is Miss Autumn

Here is a little bit about Miss Autumn to get you started…. She is a calico, domestic, medium haired kitty. She loved to play Peek A Boo with her dad. Her nickname was Auntie Belle, and she climbed onto her mom’s shoulder when she came to meet her, to tell her she was ready to go home! She gave her mom and her family lots of love and entertainment!
