Way cool!

Last night something really cool happened.

Some people in the park next to my house were making bright lights. Mom says they're called fireworks and they're for special days. I love them.

They fly high in the sky and then they burst open with wild colors and patterns. It's awesome! They even make cool noises. Some go "eeeeeee" and some just go "BOOM!"

I stood in the window the whole time they were going off. I wanted to see if Boris was paying attention but I just couldn't take my eyes off of them.

I wish we had fireworks every night.

Ah.... my mom...

My mom is the prettiest lady in the whole world. In fact, she's so pretty that sometimes at 2am I have to jump onto her chest and stare at her really, really close. I know she loves the adoration because she wakes right up so she doesn't miss any of it.

What a weird day I had

Sunday was very weird. Mom & Dad went out to get Mom's ring from the jewelery store but only Mom came back. She walked in while I was on the couch, scooped me up, put me in my carrier and took me out to meet Dad in the car. Now, you have to understand that I HATE that carrier. But I'm a good girl so I didn't cry at all.

After driving for a long, long time we got to a house that wasn't mine. Mom let me out of my carrier and there were 2 ladies there. They were very nice ladies but I didn't say hello right away. I had lots of sniffing and investigating to do. The place had a faint trace of my brother Boris and that confused me. (I found out later that he used to live there.) Once I had sniffed the downstairs I came up to investigate the living room. I really liked the lady in the round chair and I spent a lot of time walking around her legs and sitting behind her.

Eventually an orange kitty came down to say hello to me. Look, I like cats as much as the next gal but if this was to be my new home I was NOT going to share it with a cat! I'd just left Boris behind and this was my big chance to have my own place. So I hissed at the orange kitty and she hissed at me and finally we left each other alone.

Mom came over after a while and put me back in the carrier. I didn't want to leave so I fought really hard to get out but those bars are just too strong. The next thing I knew we were back home and Boris was greeting me. I was very mad at Mom and I hid behind the stove for a while.

I'm not proud to say it but I did forgive her on Monday. I don't think I ever want to do it again though.
