Arrival Story:
Bob and I had lost our beloved Red Cat, and having an open spot in our house, we went to Longmont Humane to find a cat who needed a home. While we were looking at various other cats, a paw reached out from the bottommost cage, and when I looked down, there was a very small, very dirty, scratched up, funny looking cat, reminding me that he was there for consideration too. We asked to visit with him, and when he was brought in, he sniffed at Bob, and sniffed at me, and then walked around, sat in front of both of us, and gave us Friendly Eyes. We had to take him home. Since then he's cleaned up, developed a magnificent coat, grown into a giant, and loves everyone.
Bio:
Some time after we got Pat, we adopted a Rottie mother and her half Shepherd 15 week old daughter. They had been found by a trucker, dodging traffic on I-76. Pat immediately adopted the puppy, spending as much time as she'd allow washing and caring for her. She's now 80 pounds but he still plays with her and washes her when he can.
