Arrival Story:
My ex-husband bought Milo from a "discount pet store" back when we had our first apartment. This tiny little ball of red fur - cute as cute could be...

Bio:
Milo loved to scream at the door - I think it's because he loved to hear his voice, or really, really wanted to be an outdoor cat... He was whiny, touchy, and didn't like being petted for too long - he would act like he was enjoying it, and then lash out with claws when he had enough. When he was first diagnosed with diabetes back in 2001, his weight had plummeted down to 6.2 pounds, and he was acting super-sweet - quiet, nice, not complaining - I knew something had to be wrong. As he started to get regulated on his insulin, he started to return to his normal personality. I knew he was well on his way when the vet's office called when he was in for a glucose curve... She said "I think there's something wrong with Milo - he's hissing and won't let anyone come near the cage." I told her that meant that he was getting better!!! *Milo had to be put down in July 2006, after deteriorating health complications due to his diabetes. He lasted for 5 years after diagnosis on 2 shots of insulin a day. Rest well, sweet angel!
