Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: March 14th 2007
 Coloration: Orange & White Tabby

Likes: Napping, being petted, and playing with my toys.

Pet-Peeves: Being touched when I'm playing really grinds my gears. Oooh! And static. I hate static.

Favorite Toy: There are several things that I find incredibly amusing: (1) my tail, (2) crumpled up pieces of [wax] paper, (3) plastic bottle caps, (4) laser pointers, and (5) interactive wand toys.

Favorite Nap Spot: There are three spots where I can usually be found napping: living room windowsill, atop my kitty condo, and on the chair in the bedroom.

Favorite Food: EVO dry food, Innova wet food, and Purina Whisker Lickins treats. Mmmm!

Skills: I can climb my humans as if they were trees.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: On June 11, 2007, I was found on Dixon Avenue on Staten Island, NY, and taken to the NYC AC&C shelter on Veterans Road. Two days later, I was vaccinated and microchipped. That same day, a cute girl and her boyfriend came to the shelter and woke me up from my nap. They held me and petted me. Apparently, they really liked me because they adopted me immediately. However, I didn't go home with them until the next day because I had to be neutered first. So I've been with Allie and Alex (my humans) since June 14, 2007.

Dear Diary,
Today, I had an appointment with the kitty doctor. Dr. Jerger called me a sweetie. D'aw. So I licked him (happily illustrating my mommy's point of my being an excessive licker). My poop was examined, too, apparently. I knew nothing of this! Poop thieves. But the tests came back negative for anything funny so no further tests were needed. Yay!
I'll be returning in June to get up-to-date on all of my shots and vaccinations. (Boo.) I'm sort of actually looking forward to the car ride, though. (Mom tells me I handled the commute rather well.) After all, it's not everyday that I get to take road trips. Now if only these trips didn't end in needle pricks :(

Dixon

Dear Diary,
Today, I learned what happens when I try to sneak-attack mommy.
...I land in my water dish.

Dear Diary,
Today, I have decided to take a different approach to this diary thing. Instead of writing about my new toys or my most recent bout with a new hygiene apparatus, I will list some random facts about myself:
1. My parents decided to keep the name that the shelter gave me. (They thought it was appropriate that I was named after the street on which I was found.)
2. I love playing with spiders. (I also love to eat them after playing with them.)
3. Nap time is my favorite time of the day. (Good thing it comes, oh... 8 times a day!)
4. When the "quiet time" comes at night, I get lonely. And bored. So what do I do? I lick mommy awake! (She hates it, though. She's constantly kicking me off her bed. But do I give up? Nope!)
5. When daddy sleeps over, I choose not to lick my mom. Instead, I sleep on her pillow, squeezing her into a space 3/8ths the size of her bed. (She complains incessantly.)
Hopefully, you learned something new about me!
Meow,
Dixon
P.S. Don't forget to vote for me in the 3rd Annual Coolest Dog & Cat Show! The link, again, is http://www.catster.com/show07/vote_pet.php?i=565543.
P.P.S. I was given rosettes in the last few days and I feel that I should properly thank everyone for their nice gestures. So... Vinnie, Milani, Belle, Titch, and Comet, thank you for the rosettes!
