Quick Bio:
-pound cat-cat rescue

Birthday:
July 25th 2001

Coloration:
Black

Likes:
His Grandma, being swanky, snuggling, holding hands

Pet-Peeves:
Beckham (dog brother) & nail trimming - other than that he's very easy going

Favorite Toy:
Gus, his tail, tails on a stick, mink tail, pretty much any toy that resembles a tail

Favorite Nap Spot:
In the window above the sliding glass door, it's sunny with a good view - also under a bright lamp in the Oscararium (aka the den)

Favorite Food:
SHRIMP TREATS! But he's not allowed to have them anymore - he developed urinary problems and can't have anything but prescription food :(

Skills:
Yelling "Grandma!" and "Shrimp Treats!!!" whenever she comes over, getting Grandma to make adobo for us & then giving it to him, charming everyone, being a "Compucat" - which is basically just laying on the keyboard while I'm trying to use it and drooling

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
Adopted from the Irvine Animal Shelter shortly after moving into our first house in September 2001 (he was transferred there on the Third Chance for Pets program - saved from the Downey shelter, which is high kill). His name at the shelter was Noah, he was 8 weeks old and had a sister that looked like a purebred Siamese. When I saw him the first time he was sleeping, so I didn't get to see his personality. For some reason I kept thinking about the "baby black cat" at the shelter and begged my husband to take me back there a few days later to see him again. This time he was awake and sooo sweet. They let us adopt him that very day, even stayed open late for us. Great experience!

Bio:
Oscar was dubbed "The King of Hearts" by my friend's daughter when she was 3 years old. She said he was the King because everyone loves him. He is rather swanky and debonaire, I can imagine him listening to Frank Sinatra and drinking dry martinis when I'm not around.

Last week my mom noticed that I was um...er...peeing blood. Yuck! I had a surgery last year to correct my urinary problems. I have to eat special food to keep crystals from coming back, but I had been sneaking and eating the other cats' food because it's more delicious! Everything is ok now, thank goodness. My mom just has to make sure I don't eat *anything* but my prescription food. Oh, and it helps if she pets me a lot and lets me lay on her pillow so we can nap together.

I charged the dog again today. Filthy mutt. It's like he wants to play with me or something. I DO NOT play with dogs! He is now sporting a scratch on his nose, next time it will be his eye! I warned him!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a good Christmas & a happy New Year's Eve.

I am a very happy guy now. We have a little girl living with us, she's 6. She's moved in to the Oscararium, but I'm not upset one bit! I love her new bed, and her fluffy pillows. I sleep on all of them, making sure to get black fur on each and every item :) She loves me too. She's the one who named me the King of Hearts. We're very good pals!

I'll write more later, I need to go get more lovin' meow!
