Arrival Story: barb & both separately became friends with Ozzie the cat.
We both visited him at the spca starting around November of '05 where he had been waiting for someone to adopt him since august 23rd 2005, we did this separately and unbeknownst to each other. A few weeks later and we both discovered that we liked the same cat and had been visiting him in secret. We decided that if he was still there after thanksgiving, we'd try to give him a home.
We don't know how long he'll be around, he's only 22 months old but he's a special needs kitty with a heart murmur and a funky butt that turned out to be a stubborn case of girardia. Yet again our cat will be teaching us about impurrrmanence. We still miss our old boy Bailey, but we have a feeling that he's still around and enjoying having Ozzie to watch play. Ghost kitty, who knows.
Anyway I thought you'd enjoy seeing his photos, he's quite an acrobatic clown, never met a toy he didn't like. He loves food and everthing in the fridge. We've also discovered he likes to chew on rubber tubing and occasionally he eats it, oy.
He loves the sink and faucet and has managed to turn it on, but not off-yet.
He can open the closet and all our armoires so he can curl up in our clothes.
How nice.
He has three modes: extreme play, feed me seymour! (man eating plant from little shop of horrors) and sybaritic lounge kitty (a.k.a. peel me a grape). Occasionally he still show some pretty bad manners, but we think that he's like an australian shepherd, he just needs things to do and two moms to love him.

Bio: He threw a clot on 6-14-07 and went within 5 minutes, fought like hell for more time with his mamas, but in the end his heart & lungs could not take it.
Oh and are we ever sad sad sad.
but look how many friends he made, everyone that met him was instantly struck by his personality
and by how much love he generated with his monkey-lemur-otter antics,
his amazing tricks and infectious purr! He was so goddamn funny.
This guy was really amazing to us, he learned some pretty cool tricks, he learned to Sit, Sit up, Jump up, Jump down, Speak, Shake (those he did for a treat), he also loved leash walking in the snow and the russian river, loved going in the car and having the air on his face. He was partial to broccoli, potatoes, sardine water and grape nuts. The longer he stayed with us the more he also enjoyed the regular cat stuff, snuggling, hair grooming (ours), kissing, face licking, waking us up so we can play catch & soccer with him. We really could not have asked for a finer fuzzy four legs to care for.
Well, that's the last chapter in the Kitty Kronickles for now.
We're sure, given his rambunctious sprit, that he will somehow find a way to make his presence known from time to time. Occasionally we can smell him, he had such a sweet smell.
And if there is another place, we hope he finds our friends and family because all of them were nuts about cats like Ozzman, and frankly who wouldn't be.
Even staunch dog people were not immune to his personality and regal looks.
