Arrival Story:
I was working for a painting contractor, and a gray tabby female lived in the warehouse. She had kittens by an orange tabby. I adopted Tabitha, and the rest of the kittens were adopted by other employees. I subsequently managed to have the mother cat spayed by a mobile vet.

Tabitha likes to lie on her back, paws in the air, looking oh-so-cute and inviting you to pet her furry tummy, but will have a hissy fit and claw you to pieces if you actually touch said tummy. She is sometimes a snuggly lap cat, and at other times will get indignant if you pet her the wrong way. She is very good at giving you the big pitiful kitty look. She likes to drown things in the water bowl -- food, toys, my watch, a kitchen sponge. She will meow at me after I sneeze, as if to say "bless you!". She is definitely a unique character. Tabitha passed away just before Christmas 2010 due to a tumor in her bladder. The end came quickly, and, we hope, without much pain. We miss her and will remember her fondly always.
