What I am thankful for...

The Fabulous Miss D tagged me! The deal is I am to write what I am thankful for. That is so easy!!

I am thankful that my dad brought me to this great home.

I am thankful that mom and dad didn't put me up for adoption when I went through my "attack mom's face for attention" phase.

I am thankful that mom and dad put up with my passive agressiveness.

I am thankful that I am always looked after and have plenty of food and water and toys.

I am thankful that I have such good friends on Catster and Cat Channel even though mom hasn't been able to participate as much lately!

Oh my stars. Where are my suitcases? Oh forget it, you can keep all my stuff, I am just leaving....

Dad brought home a new cat on Wednesday afternoon. He is a three year old Maine Coon mix. He is HUGE. Things have been crazy. He was sequestered in mom and dad's bedroom on Wednesday. They did take him into our cat room for a bit to show him around. He was allowed out and about to smell the house on Thursday while we were sequestered.

He decided he was tired of being sequestered in the bedroom on Friday morning - when mom was trying to get ready for work. Then, at 4.am. this morning, he climbed to the very top of the three baby gates blocking the bedroom door, squeezed through the small gap and heaved himself over. Not a happy wake up for mom or dad. Now, dad has taken the baby gates off every door and is not hovering around (he and mom have been heavily monitoring the goings-on) and things are much better. Mom and dad think their stress over having to monitor all the time was adding to our stress. I think they are right. Things are a bit better. PJ seems to be acclimating to the house quickly. It's us cats he has an issue with. Actually, he just wants to be left alone to explore....we want him out!! This is our house and our stuff! We are all slowing feeling each other out. It has gone surprising well so far for the short amount of time he has been here. Mom/dad didn't think they would be able to take the gates down for at least a week. PJ had other plans.

I will try to keep you posted. Mom says she will make a page for PJ as soon as things settle down a little here. Mom is also copying and pasting diary entry on my siblings' pages. She is tired and stressed out from having little sleep last night.

I have recently been given information that my beloved boyfriend Tigger is not dead. While I am very happy that he is alive and well, mom and I are truly upset that we were led to believe he died. My mom and I cried for days over his "death" and cried again every time we visited his page to leave a note - which was every day. Why would a human want everyone to believe that her cat had died when he was alive and healthy? Honestly, mom and I are very hurt and angered by this deception and cannot understand the motive behind it. What kind of friend would do that? We just don't get it.

Well, Tigger, I am happy you are alive. I am sad, though, that your human felt the need to put my mom and I through so much emotional turmoil by lying. We were not the only ones hurt by this of course, but it seems more personal since you were my boyfriend. I thought we had a great time together, but now I wonder if that was just my imagination as well.

Oh well. Live and let live, eh?

I feel much better today...

You know, when I let go of my confusion and anger and just sat quietly, I realized everything is OK.

Tigger's mission here was complete. He brought joy, love, compassion, friendship, companionship, laughter and kindness to all he encountered. God needed him for another mission. I am certain his next mission will go just as well as this one did. He was so full of fun! Wherever he is now I am sure he is hosting a gigantic party! He did like to party. I bet he has his own aquarium to watch over too. He really enjoyed those fish. I am sure I will see him again, either here on Earth or in Heaven.

So, Tigger, my soulmate, wherever you are, I hope you are having the best time. Thank you for shining your light on all of us. Don't get into too much trouble! I love you!!

My Prince, Tigger, has gone to the Rainbow Bridge

The most wonderful cat in the world passed away yesterday. Mom couldn't even write this until today and she is still crying as she types this.

My boyfriend, Tigger, passed away on the operating table yesterday. They were trying to repair a hole that was allowing fluid to leak into his lungs. He just celebrated his 5th birthday a few days ago. My mom and I are just devastated and heartsick for his family.

Tigger and his mom are some of our best friends. We will miss Tigger so much. It all happened to fast; we are having a hard time believing it is true.

Please keep all animals in your prayers and hug your babies. It our burden to bear by loving those that always leave us too soon. We would rather go through the pain of burying a loved one than never to have them known and loved them at all. It is still so hard though.

Rest in peace, my love. I will always love you and remember you. &hearts

TAGGED!!

I have been tagged by Arwen!

The "Tag! You're It!" Rules:

Each player starts with seven (7) random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write in their own diary about their seven things and the rules of the "Tag! You're it!" game. You also need to choose seven other cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave each cat you tagged a comment (Catster Paw Mail) that you tagged them and instructions to read your diary for details of game play. Have fun tagging and meeting new kitties (hint: check recently updated diaries to find some kitties who haven't been tagged that might have fun playing the game.)!!!

1. I would prefer to be an "only cat". These other cats get on my nerves.

2. I really only play when mom and dad aren't watching...unless there is a shoelace involved. Then I don't care who sees me play!

3. I am very finicky about food. I will only eat Whiskas dry food. Mom and dad have mixed California Natural Chicken and Rice food in with it because of my weight...then think I haven't noticed. Duh! I am not stupid.

4. Because of my beautiful fur and constant grooming, I have hairballs. Mom and dad brush me every day but I still groom myself all the time.... And you KNOW I won't eat the Hairball formula food....

5. I like to howl at the top of my lungs for attention just outside whatever room mom and dad are in. I know where they are, but they should come to ME!

6. I really miss my dog, Jake, who went to the Rainbow Bridge in November 2005. (Love you buddy!)

7. I am a Princess and should be treated as such!

Father's Day

I let dad sleep today but woke up mom. She is more interactive anyway. Dad will just roll over and ignore any of us cats. Mom talks to us and pets us even when she is mostly asleep. I am delighted that my honey, Tigger, is here. I have received rosettes from Areyel, Charmin-Bridge Kitty, and now my Tigger. Thank you all so much for making me and my family feel so welcome here. We love Catster and are looking forward to learning more about it. Pophie is already a member of two groups! He keeps flaunting that to the rest of us, let me tell you. I keep telling him it is because of his Name, but he thinks he's cool. Nap time for me after a little grooming.

Be well and Happy Father's Day!

Today is my 7th birthday!

Mom and dad say today is my birthday. I have slept a lot and been chased by the youngest here, JoJo. The other cats hassle me because I don't want to play all the time like they do. Sigh. I liked it better when me and my dog Jake were the only animals here. Unfortunately, Jake left me November 2005. He was an old dog and it was time for him to move on to greener pastures and a younger, non-arthritis riddled body. He is waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge. I know Mom misses him a lot. She still talks to him and her other two kitties who are with him at the Bridge. In the meantime, we all fill mom and dad's life with joy and happiness. They spoil us all to no end. Pretty soon they will have to camp out in the backyard because we will need to take over their room to accomodate more toys. It has actually been a good day, with the exception of JoJo chasing me earlier. Luckily she is young and easily distracted!

Be well.
