Nick's biggest pet peeve is probably the dogs pestering him. He also doesn't like being groomed...he turns into a crazed wildcat when I get out the brush!

Stuffed catnip mouse...he 'hunts' it every night.

Kitchen window sill...he likes to watch all the birds and squirrels in our yard.

Nicky adores most people food. Chicken and steak are favorites, though he likes pork and seafood as well.

Arrival Story:
When my childhood kitty, Amber, passed away in July 1996 I was absolutely devastated. To make matters worse, I had just graduated college, didn't have a job yet, and my boyfriend of 3 1/2 years broke up with me. Shortly after Amber's passing, I decided I needed to find another kitten to try and fill the hole in my heart. I looked at a number of adorable Persian kittens, but none of them really seemed right. I had just about given up when my mom suggested we go to the annual cat show. She hoped maybe I would find a kitten there, though I wasn't very optimistic. We were wandering around, looking at all the beautiful cats when we encountered a man holding the most precious black Persian kitten. Most breeders are cautious about you touching the cats, but this man stepped forward and said "You look like you need a kitten" and placed the purring ball of fluff in my arms. One look into those brilliant copper eyes and I was in love. Nicky came home with me that day and he has been my best friend ever since. He has been by my side, sharing my joys and sadnesses. Nick helped me endure some truly dark times...times when he was my only light.

Nicky joined his brothers Quincy and Ripkin at the Rainbow Bridge tonight. You were so very loved my sweet baby boy. A piece of my heart goes with you. Nicholas lived with his mommy and daddy, his human sister, Kendall, his feline brother, Ben, canine brother, Romeo, and canine sister, Adabel.
