Arrival Story:
Last spring (2006) I found my self catless. My 2 cats of 12 years had passed and my soul-cat "Snickers" had to go and live with my Mom because I had no where to live. My Mom adopted Snickers (stole her from me), and she is happy with her to this day, but she will always be mine. My mother-in-law has the beginnings of a feral colony in her backyard. It very much upsets me and I am now finally working with her to trap and fix them. I did as much as I could at the time and I only could handle 2 kittens at that time, my heart ached for them all and I wanted to take them all and give them homes but I could not. So after many attempts to catch them, I finally took home Zena and Mikey, sister and brother. They seemed like buddies and I wanted to keep them together. They were timid and scared at first and I spent every summer day from early a.m. until 9 pm with them loving them and bonding with them. I was living at a SLE and had to leave them alone over night, it was very hard for me, but I over compensated by spending every minute I could with them. I finished my program and moved home, I was so happy to be able to be with them. They came into my lives at a turning point in my life and they mean so much to me. I have been clean for over 2 years now and they are my blessings.

Bio:
Zena is sweet, humble and so mellow. She is very much a tom-kitty, not prissy. She has a wild side and has strong feline instincts. She hunts, she carries herself like a wild cat, with strong hind legs. She is at her happiest when she is outside where she explores and hunts and climbs and plays tiger in the grass. That is where she got her name "Zena, the Princess Warrior". She likes to play and sits patiently by my side waiting for me to play with her.
