Arrival Story: A friend found her alone in a parking lot before her eyes were really opened and her ears hadn't even popped up yet...This lovely woman already had 5 other rescued cats. She nursed her everyday and loved her till she just had to find a good home for her. My husband and I were delighted to be the lucky ones who adopted her! We still keep in touch with her original human mother and I send her pictures all the time.

Bio: The original human mom thought JoJo might have some back leg problems because her "legs would go out from under her". Like, she would be walking and sit down because he legs "went out". This was one of the reasons we took JoJo in the first place. We knew a "special needs" cats might not be adopted and we have no problem giving more attention and time to one. As it turns out, her back legs just seemed to be growing faster than she was. She has absolutely no problems; can jump and run and climb anything! She is an awesome loving kitty.

I was tagged by Filly the Swift of Rohan! What do I want for Christmas? Let me think....
1. Like everyone else, I would be so thankful for all homeless animals to have safe, secure places to live and for all animal to be pain-free and healthy.
2. I would like for my new big brother, PJ, to get along with us and for us to get along with him. I realize it will take time, but I hope he gets over his issues soon.
3. I would like a huge mound of Bonito flakes!!! They are my absolute favorite thing!
4. I would like lots of face rubs.
5. I would like for my big sister, Fey, to stop being such a fussy, grouchy girl, and to play more.
Thank you all for being such good friends. From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!

So, I went to vet last Thursday and was a very good girl. The vet thinks it is just folliculitis (feline acne). Now, my brother, Pophie, had acne once but he only had black heads. I have a few blackheads, but mostly two big swollen areas. The vet said it could be, also, that I scratched myself and it became infected. Anyway, mom and dad were given some shampoo with antiseptic in it to use as a scrub for my chin. They have been using it since Thursday and it doesn't seem to be doing anything. So, Dad called the vet and he picked up some more Clavamox for me. Hopefully that will take care of things. Again, it is not bothering me and I eat just fine. Mom and dad still rub my chin and I enjoy it.
I don't really want to have Clavamox dripped/shot in my mouth again, but if it will make mom stop worrying, I am all for it.
It is cold here in Texas today - only 40 degrees! You can bet I was curled in a tiny ball on the flannel pillow in the dining room chair (or on the down comforter on the bed) when I wasn't racing around at mach 5!
Hope everyone is having a fabulous day! Be well.

Well mom and dad have threatened to put me in a giant hamster ball or a padded crate. The week before Thanksgiving I hurt my left front paw. When I was at the vet having it checked out, the vet found a puncture wound on my left hip that looked like it wanted to abscess! Mom was upset because she and dad didn't even know about the hip wound. Thank goodness mom badgered dad into taking me to the vet for my paw. Mom wanted to take me to the emergency clinic but dad said my paw wasn't that bad and mom was over reacting. (Mom does tend to over react when one of us has an ouchy.) Anyway, my paw really wasn't bad, just red and raw, but my hip needed attention. The vet shaved some fur and took care of the hip and cleaned up my paw. Mom and dad have been all over the house looking for how I could have hurt myself, but still haven't figured it out. Of course, I literally climb the walls and am constantly going mach 5 around the house, so there is no telling what I did to myself.
Now, it seems that the ouchy I had on my paw and the puncture wound on my hip are totally healed. However, last night Dad was rubbing my chin and he felt a bump, like something is swollen. Mom almost lost it! They rub my chin all the time and never felt it before last night. It isn't slowing me down - nothing does. I am still eating just fine and playing like crazy. Mom kissed me on the head and said, "JoJo, your career in death defiance has to stop!!"
So, I have yet another doctor appointment on Thursday afternoon. Mom says soon they will have to rename the clinic after me because mom and dad are giving them so much money. I just hope they don't have shave my chin to see what it is...I still have a bare patch on my hip and it is bound to get cooler here at some point!
Hope everyone is having a great week!
Purrs, JoJo
