Leave a treat for Willa (9/02-7/04)

Willamina, WillaB, WillaCat

Quick Bio:
-mixed breed-cat rescue

pretending to be a squirrel, being outside, getting attention from Jackson-dog, Amy & (especially) Chris!, chasing bugs

being picked up, when she wasn't allowed outside, when Jackson growled at her when she walked near his food bowl (even though she never showed interest in it)

Favorite Toy:
Swizzle Legs Teaser and a plastic ball with a bell in it, really did not like any other toys other than that

Favorite Nap Spot:
She would have a favorite spot for a few days and then turn on it and never want to nap there again...find another one and love it for a few days...then hate it. The top of the couch was the only spot that did'nt bore her but probably b/c Chris was there

Favorite Food:
Flint River Ranch, Tuna & Bil-Jac treats

Giving Super DAP! and Super love-hug dap, many Squirrel traits from her past life as a squirrel, crossing her eyes

indoors and outdoors

Arrival Story:
A friend found Willa & her sister running across a busy road in Asheville NC (where we used to live). She stopped to help them and found them digging around a dumpster for food....just tiny kittens. The sister died but she had Willa for about 9 months when we adotped her from the friend who could not take care of her anymore, she was about 9-10 months old when we got her and we had her for 1 year (almost exactly) before she died from Severe Anemia due to a mysterious infection. We really miss her...she was a special cat. Jackson missed her so much and was depressed for weeks after she was gone that we had to get him another little friend...we adopted Zoe and they are best friends. He has been so sweet and gentle with Zoe b/c he misses Willa.

***WILLA, WE MISS YOU***Willa has a charity in OH named after her...called the Willa Project...that collects towels, newspapers and other necessities for Pet Shelters. Literally every person that met Willa commented on how pretty she was. Willa was a special cat....she was different than any cat I have ever had...she had lots of weird quirks like never drinking water if it was anywhere near her food...she preferred water that was hidden in corner, straight out of the running faucet or licking it out of the bathtub after someone's shower. She took advantage of most if not all her nine lives!
