What I would like

I'm all moved in

I decided that this winter I would be an indoor cat, as you, where I live it gets very, very cold! My new family loves me, and I especially love my new mom! She lets me sleep on her bed every night, all night! I even have my own blankie... actually 2. One on her bed, it's purple with flowers and made of fleece. The other is beige and black leopard spots, that one I have on the couch where she and I sit. Sometimes I go for LONG walks outside though, and am gone for over 24 hours. This makes my mom sad and worried, grandma too. And the other kitties worry, they know when something is amiss.

Nadia LOVES me, as in the S-E-X word.. except she is fixed, so I don't get it. I mean, she is sweet and all, and cute, but I am just not into her that way. She drives me nuts sometimes... I go and hide from her, yet she always finds me!

OK, enough for now.. going to go nap, AGAIN!

I LOVE my mom!

I have now moved in permanently. I now sleep about 20 hrs a day in the house. I get up for food and water and milk and catnip and to prowl the house screaming. Mom has no idea why I scream, especially during the night. I'm not telling her.. she thinks it's because I want food (nah, but it is nice to get an extra can of Fancy Feast!) or because I want out.. which I do at times, and she lets me out to play, but I don't go far. Right now it's way too snowy and cold!

I still get my bowl of fresh liver every morning. I do a little "liver" dance for Grandma while she cuts it up.

I now like going upstairs to sleep at night and sleep in my mom's room on the floor or in her dorway. I have also started to follow her around a lot. She likes it and it gets me tons of attention! I even let her pick me up to sit with her on the couch.

I am also so comfy and happy with her that I feel free to purr again! SO nice!

Moving In

Well, I did it! I finally moved into my new mom's house. Last night she came to give me my 'midnight' snack (9PM) and when she opened the door I just walked right in and meowed for fresh liver. She gave me some and then I went to the living room and slept on the couch. She went to the kitchen 3x with me to see if I wanted out.. I didn't! She waited downstairs for a bit with the lights out/TV on... I guess she wanted to make sure I wouldn't freak. When she went up I eventually followed. I meowed because I didn't know where she was or where grandma was. Mom called me and whistled so I went to her room. I was shy though... but I went to her bed and let her pet me. It's nice there. During the night I slept and wandered around the house a bit. I meowed sometimes to make sure it was all ok. Mom would wake up and talk to me, I slept in her doorway after Nadia was mean to me. She chased me and hissed, she's cranky at 4AM! At 4:30AM I cried LOUD. I wanted to go out.. I'm used to being out see, and I could not. Mom went downstairs and let me out, she gave me liver first though. When grandma came down around 6AM, she let me back in and fed me again, cat food this time. I then went back to sleep on the couch and later went upstairs until 4PM! When I came down I ate another bowl at food and drank some milk. I went out and it was raining but I had to check on my other hidey-hole. I came back at 7PM and ate some more liver, then went to hang out with mom in the living room. I think I'll stay here tonight, it's cold and wet out.

The Front Window

I have decided that I am slowly moving in.. I have discovered that mom's house has a really nice front window where I can sit or lie and watch the outside world go by while I stay cool and dry inside when it rains or is too hot out.

My mom gives me fresh chicken hearts and catnip and Fancy Feast! Oh ya, I discovered that I LOVE milk! I get that too.

Mom picked me up a little the other night, not far off the ground, just enough to giveme a kiss. I liked it, but it stll freaked me out a little.. but I love her and trust her. I like grandma too now, but grandpa is loud and scary still.. all men are!

I know where my mommy hides

Yesterday morning I was waiting for mom to come down after I had eaten breakfast (grandma fed me). Usually I just sit at the bottom of the stairs and sometimes meow for her to come down, but not yesterday! I went all the way upstairs and found her in the loo! She was so surprised to see me, and happy. I didn't stay though as Zoe was already there and really, boys should not peek at girls in the loo! But now I know where my mommy hides!

I got hurt

I have a big booboo on my head... mom isn't sure what I did.. neither am I, I just know it HURT for a good 24 hours. I wouldn't let mom touch it much and I didn't go into the house very much either. Now it's ok, mom was petting me and touching where it is to try to see, she thinks it may be an abcess that popped, YUCK. On the plus side, because I have a booboo, she gave me chicken all cut up just for me!! And all the catnip I could eat out of the container... I think she forgot that I had it, hehehe...

Fight...!

So I was minding my own business and all of a sudden WHAM! I was attacked by my soon-to-be-brother BEAR. Like what the heck? He feels threatened I guess, but mom says she can love ALL of us. Man that hurt. He used claws, and I just got all better from my last fight with Papa Doc (he scratched me all up)... I'm scared now. Grandma said I could come back, but I'll wait till later or tomorrow when Bear has calmed down.

Trapped!

OMG! I got trapped in the house today... the strange man who lives here LEFT and I was STILL in the house! I spent an HOUR stuck in the house with the others... I had no idea what to do! I explored a little, left my mark in a few choice spots (the humans will never know) and basically steered clear of the other cats until mom came home.

She came home, with grandma and TONS of noisy plastic bags full of food. Good food, I may add! Fancy Feast and Frisky's wet food, not the cheap stuff the man buys! THANK GOD! I streaked past my mom and sat just outside the kitchen door, she came over and petted me and gave me a WHOLE can of Fancy Feast all for ME! Then I got treats! She calls them candy.. guess it is like candy to me.

Back outside now, must check on my other haunts!

Rewarded?

Yesterday I had those 2 big fights, and when I came for food last night my soon-to-be mom kept cooing and petting me. She gave me extra cat treats and catnip, so I let her cuddle me under my chin and around the under side of my neck while I lolled around on my back. Now aren't I trusting?

This morning I just walked right in when they opened the door.. grandma gave me a huge bowl of food. I hung out in the kitchen waiting for my mom, she slept in. When she came she gave me a cat treat and cuddled me. Then she showed me the catnip container and I followed her right to the living room and sat next to her. She rocks!

I'm going to go sleep off my buzz... ttyl!

Fight

I had a busy morning, 2 huge fights with neighborhood cats who were trying to eat MY food! Man, will they ever learn? I mean, I warn them all the time and finally today I just lost my cool. No more stealing my food! They have homes, I don't.. well sort of, but you know what I mean. Anyhow, they ran off and I finished my bowl. I'm going to go for a nap now...

New home?

My name is BJ, it stands for Bear Junior as my soon-to-be mom says I look like a small version of Bear. I guess it's true, we are both all black and have yellow eyes...

I don't know what my name was before I found her, it's been awhile. I am pretty scruffy looking and I need tons of food to fatten me a little, but it's ok, she loves me anyway. I want to move in permanently but am still weary of humans.. I'm ok with mom, and sort of ok with grandma but that's it! Granpa is scary, he wears big shoes and has a louder voice and makes sudden movements... Bear says that too.
I like coming in to the house, I get food 3x a day and catnip and cat treats if I go to the living room !! That's pretty cool, huh? Usually I fall asleep after catnip, and usually on the living room carpet. No one minds now though, the other cats are ok with me.

I love it when mom scratches me behind the ears! It feels so good, I even drool a little. Her favorite is when I come into the living room around lunchtime to remind her that I want lunch. If she takes too long I come back, and meow a little. She thinks it's cute! Well, as long as I get a bowl of food out of it, I don't care!

Well, I'm going to go sniff around the downstairs some more.. mark my spots (mom hates that too, she always cleans up after and I have to do it all over again!).
