Arrival Story:
Velcro and her brother were found abandoned under a bush near my friends house at approximately 2 weeks of age. My friend had no way to isolate them from her cats, so they came home with me. The two were originally called Pete and Repeat, but Pete went over the bridge just two days after we brought him home. I felt awkward continuing to call her Repeat. Being so young, she would cling to you when she was being bottle fed and cleaned (and any other time you would let her!) - you had to peel her off of you the same way you peel a velcro fastening apart - hence, the name.
Bio:
Velcro has a penchant for getting into trouble. Usually not serious - locked in a room, the closet, the basement overnight - that type of thing. But once, my husband and I had gone to a sports show. My husband brought home a bag of fishing lures, which he left on the table overnight. The next morning, we woke up and discovered Velcro with one of the fishhooks through her lower lip! Didn't bother her one bit - she was playing, eating and acting like her crazy self. But daddy learned his lesson when he got to spend a whole day at the vet's office getting it removed!
