Arrival Story:
I went to work on a Saturday to make up some missed time. While driving in, the local radio station was featuring an employee from the humane society and she was talking about checking their adoption site online. So I did and found two orange kittens that we wanted. We were only planning on one, but when we got there I saw a sign that said "2nd kitten $40". So, I kept that in mind and when we approached the window where we spotted one of the orange kittens, we noticed that two were in there. The only 2 orange ones. And they were sleeping on each other. So, we got the two kittens deal. That's how Smurf and his brother, Tyler, came to be in our posession. :)

Bio:
He gave us a scare once when he was just a bit over a year old. We had just moved to Texas and he came down with a cold after my boyfriend left on a trip for a couple of days. The vet we went to suspected FIP, which usually will cause death in 2 weeks. As it turned out, it was just a recurrence of the cat flu which he and his brother, Tyler, had when we first got them from the vet. It was a really horrible week waiting for him to get over that. So scary.
